don patch sword reacts to his player being pinched at 24

Can confirm that our recruiting team do rate the player that we picked up as top 15, we can't believe this player slipped through to us.

Sorry, seeing as I am playing the roll of Ameet Bains, I was waiting until the last moment then caving to a deal that I said I would never do so on.

Saints take Sam-Powell Pepper at 24.

Absolute wrecking ball, loves the tough stuff, commits his body to the contest every single time.
Suits the Saints needs of inside midfielders, and some serious toughness.
Won the kicking test, but it doesn't appear to translate to games.

Everyone says he's an awful kick...wins kicking test at combine.

I think it's Yoda_ for the next pick. Good pick btw.

I've got three players in mind with Richmond's pick, directly after Skipper_'s ...

(Hint: 2 KPP's and a big-bodied MID/FWD)

knowing me I'll probably pull out a random at the last minute

Richmond goes Brennan Cox.

For this I’ve combed through many pages of the Richmond draft board, and what they say is right. Richmond fans, by and large, are some of the more charming, astute, and intelligent you will ever come across. Right. So what they say is that the Tigers are most in need of at the moment are KPPs (fwd or back), big-bodied inside mids, and perhaps some mid-sized forward options…

Cox also gives a bit of flexibility to play forward as an option (spoken like a true bomber), but adds depth to an area they are sorely lacking.

Strongly considered: Z Sproule

(To quote the Don)
Brennan Cox

Team: Woodville West Torrens
Height: 194
Weight: 90
DOB: 13/8/98

Player Traits: Cale Hooker, Harry Taylor
Position: Key Defender/Key Forward

Bio: Brennan is a smart and talented key position player who put his name on the map with his impressive championships performance playing as a key defender. He has played defense and forward in the SANFL and looks comfortable playing at both ends.

As a defender he has great hands and uses his body well. He has a good jump so can spoil and mark to match it with the better tall players. He has great hands at ground level and good speed for his size he can glide across the ground. He is a smart user of the footy taking the best option and knowing his limitations.

Up forward he shows similar traits to what he does in defense. Great body work and is composed with ball in hand at takes the right option a lot of the time. He has a nice action kicking for goal.

He does have low possession games he will need to improve fitness and try and get involved more. For all his smarts and clean hands he could provide some more rebound than he does right now.

What makes him a good prospect is his composure, athleticism, clean hands and versatility. His body is almost ready as well so wont take as long as most young key position players to make an impact at AFL level.
