Don’t know a lot about Houlihan, but as a forward flanker, can only assume he spends a few years developing in the VFL.

Zerk-Thatcher one of those Bock-type picks Dodoro goes for sometimes. A 60kg full back who can’t kick the footy, not the way the modern game’s going. With the athleticism I can see the appeal, but would take him 3+ years to even bulk up alone, let alone have the talent for senior footy. Could have snatched him up in the second round of the rookie draft too.

i viewed him as another small forward to add to the ranks.
Tippa, Fantasia and Moore would be a good setup.
Then we focus the likes of Smith, Stringer and Begley as our new mids. Lots of hard running

He has many strong parts to his game. However he is short and isn't quick.

Look at where Higgins went and where Miers went. They both slid too because they share similar problems.

Was correct in guessing an unmentioned player would be selected by Dodoro in the draft - I suspect Worpel being selected just before our first pick, made for a change of plan with selection 49 - Other players linked to the club in Hayden and North were chosen just before our second selection - It may have been a night of what if's.

That's because their parents seem to think that somehow their kid needs to be different, to stand out, because he/she/it is special.

I've got news for you people, your kid is no more special than the next one - which is to say, not special at all.

Having a babye myself, and my partner and I are purely going for baby names we like, not to stand out for the rest. I like Max. Is that a common name anymore?

Just on the guys we have picked up. It is all well and good to say we should have selected player x, or player y, but the club, and recruiting staff must have observed upwards of 80 various games across the year. These guys being mentioned may have a view that they are stagnating, the upside is limited. Hell, Cassidy Parish with all his outstanding traits was overlooked circa Jonty Scharenberg 2016.

The three we picked, all have upside on their 2017 seasons. Guelfi went from being a 12 possession per game development kid to a 15 possession key player in the WAFL seniors. Houlihan was dropped initially from his colts sides but got better and better whilst the Zerk - Thatcher kid seems to be more based on what the club would like to compliment our current set up (lots off zoning off defenders).

Don't mind our draft haul what so ever, will be interesting to see what we make of the rookie draft though. Does that mean we have Jake Long on the rookie list, again? how many picks will we take to the rookie draft?
