I always thought Brad Scott was underated at North Melbourne. 4 finals wins in 10 years isn't bad with those 2 prelim finals.

Port Adelaide had 4 preliminary finals in 13 seasons. 6 finals wins under Ken Hinkley from 2013 to 2025 isn't bad.

If you want a comparison..... Think of the Fremantle Dockers LoL

Fremantle has won 7 finals since 2005.

4 different coaches at the dockers have got at least 1 finals win in the last 20 years.

- Chris Connolly (1 finals win in 2006)

- Mark Harvey (1 finals win in 2010)

- Ross Lyon (4 finals wins between 2012 to 2015.

- Justin Longmuir (1 finals win in 2022)

He lost the plot in his later years, delisting too many senior players at the same time, including Boomer, who was then offered a contract to play at Hawthorn, the year after their 3 peat. He was still playing good footy and could have gone on for another year or two.

Why do I feel like the administration at Essendon takes a very unserious football club very seriously?

Just relax and make good decisions.

Because the cotries are the ones who really run that club (same issues with Carlton)

Sounds like Ken Hinkley will be at Essendon next year after hearing him on Footy Classified last night I think he would be a fantastic get for us if it happens. Do think Brad needs another senior voice to help him out i would offer Ken the Mark Williams role he did at Melbourne

As someone who grew up disliking the Bombers in the 90s it's gone beyond the point where I derive any enjoyment from this. Just feel sorry for them. I genuinely want to see the Bombers competitive again, but not too much. It's getting old, they've been a nothing club for what seems like forever.

Spoke well, but still too much Essendon bravado. He's been in the seat 2 min, absolutely nothing wrong with saying 'Zac is the captain of the club and has two years to run on his contract. I understand he is frustrated and I will sit down and speak to him and the club won't be commenting publicly on any list management decisions until trade week commences'.

If they refuse to trade Merrett under any circumstances great, but if they end up letting him go Welsh has painted himself into a corner as just another Scott, Barham etc.
