Good god you’re in agony aren’t you? I reiterate: Essendon = awful, awful club with awful, awful supporters. You are the absolute bottom feeding scum of the AFL, and days like today show that to the world.
If the pies are up in arms about us booing pendles, then by that logic your mob won’t boo anyone ever.

Your mob were booing Sheed.

Your mob booed Riewoldt at the ANZAC day parade when he was trying to speak.

So you've formed a view that umpires can influence games, my views are in direct contrast to that, either way, we're both entitled to an opinion. Mine seems to be that of the minority which doesn't bother me. I maintain the umpires had very little impact on the game, letting Collingwood go out to a 5 goal lead probably had something to do with it though, but keep looking through those red and black glasses.
no mention of the two soft frees that gifted them goals. quite a melt down actually

And yet, they did it. Any reason they weren't booing the guys presenting the medal and waiting for the exact moment Pendlebury started speaking?

Probs a coincidence.
well Pendles did mention the crowd, and they responded by expressing how they felt. Shame for Pendles, he didnt deserve that, but it doesnt mean it was at him

It was the grand final parade, I don’t think big nick served long enough to march in the Anzac parade

Get off your high horse.

Pendlebury was a respected player.

Until he decided to be a ducking cheat.

Deserves the boos.

Just like Buckley for knifing Brisbane all those years ago then malthouse.

Karma
Boo him for ducking all you ******* want. I don’t give two shits about boo’ing. Im sure you did boo him when it happened, thats great!!

But the game is over, and it is the ANZAC day award ceremony. Have some class.

Ive seen this comparison so many times and quite frankly its just rubbish.

Sheed will always be the villain in the eyes of Collingwood supporters. The player who kicked the winning goal against us. Of course they're going to boo him first game since then. Big deal what a terrible problem to have. I wish one of our players was being booed by opposition fans for kicking a winning GF goal.

Its not malicious or sinister booing. They're not being disrespectful by booing him. Its part of the theatre from a historic moment in GF history.

Clubs caught salary cap cheating in a flag year.

Yep, and beating carlton was the cherry on top. Uh-oh, that might trigger 1970, 1979, 1981 memories.....

give the 'ANZAC day award ceremony" a spell. It's a game of football and the players and fans will act like they do at any other game of football

Pendles does the right thing and thanks the crowd, but a fair few of them dont want to be thanked, they want to show their frustration. It wasnt for Pendles, it was the result
Which they'd already been doing for 5 mins post match.

During the medal ceremony is a time to show a bit of respect. This wasn't even a game you nearly won as you never hit the front. It's frustrating to get close, but much tougher when you've been winning and had it snatched away. This game was the Pies all the way, the Bombers just almost stole it, they never owned it.

Most fans accept booing during a game or displeasure at umpiring. Once that's been done and has come to a stop, as it had here, it's poor form and very unusual for it to start up again as a player accepts a medal. I can only remember this happening in a derby when Judd won the medal in a losing effort (wow, back in 2006). Plenty of games with poor umpiring decisions and tough losses, but behaviour like we saw today is very, very rare.
