We get it your player got booed, you are upset.

Pies never boo, except when they do, but that's different because reasons, but DON'T BOO PENDELS YOU SCUM
I’ve said multiple times, i have zero issue about boo’ing.

Thats not my issue. Its the moment and the day.

Boo every single play during the game. But once the whistle blows, games over and the opposing teams captain is about to thank the crowd for helping make this day special. You shut your mouth. Simple as that.

Then go back to crying as loud as you want after.

we probably won easily and the booers had gone home. Missing all those sitters kept you in it so that unfortunately they were all still there at the end this time
That makes perfect sense. Thank you for the explanation. I'm a bit disappointed in myself having needed to ask the question for such a response.
So as a supporter group you defend sinking to a new low by highlighting the fact it is indeed a new low
Where did I say that? I've asked the question three times for no response. I think booeing is pathetic, however the booeing is clearly aimed at the umpiring and not Pendles.

Don't pretend winning an ANZAC medal has any part in respecting the veterans. It's a medal for a best on ground footy player, it's not going to be pinned on a jacket for a march.
What about briefing documents for a court case?

Lol. If you were the better side, you would have put
True that, when we go past you we will do it clean.

Andas an aside the best day of my life was that glorious day in 1990! Sat right behind your cheers squad on level 2, and I’m sure Paul salmons Dad was right in front of me! Oh man that was so so so so good!
If your footy team winning a grand final is the best day of your life then I feel sorry for you, you've lived a boring life and achieved nothing

how is it "clear"? He walked up to the mike to speak and it got louder. He paused a while - it didnt let up. The umpires were in the shower by ten. Please stop making shit up.

Oh no no no no no, we boo, when it’s deserved, let me see, Nick Davis, no explanation needed, Daisy, but only til that day Pendles put him on his arse, Barry hall, a fair few brissy players, the scott brothers, Hird, Jobe, Harmes, Rhys-Jones, andevery Glong player except Ablett senior and junior.

Yet they all start booing as Pendlebury goes to accept his award.

Who cares? Honestly, should the Essendon fans just sit there and cheer Pendlebury after being royally screwed by the umps?

Soon we will all have to sit there in silence and only golf clap.

I'd boo him too after he ducked to get a free at a critical time.
he was picking the ******* ball up

It’s a BOG medal... that’s all it is.
Maybe you guys should stop latching onto the ANZAC spirits then? These types of promotions make me sick:

"the player in the match considered to best exemplify the ANZAC spirit – skill, courage, self-sacrifice, teamwork and fair play – has been awarded the Medal."

A lot of deflection in this thread. Still waiting for any other examples where a player has been loudly booed during a medal ceremony (I know of one from 2006).

Happy to condemn any Pies fans who've done this. Were some claiming Schuey was booed when receiving the Norm Smith? Can't really hear it, certainly didn't cause him to stop his speech and don't recall it ever being called out by the media. Makes it tough that Schooooo sounds a lot like a boo. The chanting of Collingwood fans over Reiwoldt during the Grand Final parade in 2010 was definitely classless as well.

Booing during a medal ceremony is either poor behaviour or not. In my view it is and that view stands whether it's Collingwood fans or fans from Mars.

I don't like booing in general but do understand it can be part of the theatre or part of imposing a home ground advantage. Once the game's been won and done though, continuing with it some time after is pretty weak.
