Hilarious comment - every supporter base the world over has *******s in their midst. This is not determined by who they follow.

FMD some of the shit that comes out of people on this forum. Another idiot.
Nice try but the person who started this post is calling out Essendon supporters for their behaviour which I’ll agree wasn’t great but I don’t recall any Collingwood people calling out their own for similar things and Collingwoods track record with crowd behaviour is worse than basically ever other side in the AFL over the years.
Yes all clubs have a bad element of supporters but it’s entertaining seeing Collingwood supporters getting salty when it comes back the other way.

Pies had the overall rub of the green with umpires but that's not Pendles fault, we had the exact same issue against WC one of the worst officiated games I have seen in my opinion worse then today.

The sooner the AFL coaches make a stand the better.

Hmmmm....where do I start...
Winmar at Victoria Park
Reiwoldt at the Parade in 2010 and then the aftermatch speech
Milne many times over many years
Shuey last years grand final presentation
There would be many more over the years.
The point is Collingwood people are in no position to lecturing anyone.
Pretty simple really

Collingwood are not the worst. Essendon and Richmond are the worst

Few things:
> Collingwood weren't kissed on the dick. They were very fortunate to win given how many goals Essendon kicked as a direct result of shady umpiring decisions. Better team won.
> Collingwood fans started their glorious chant because they won the game and wanted to counter the salty booing by the Essendon faithful
> Hird and Watson were rightfully booed as drug cheats. It stuns me that you'd even try to support them in your post.
> Shuey wasn't booed. Did Essendon supporters pluck this out of their ass in the last six hours? It's false.

As a neutral, I suggest people head to the Mongrel Punt's article on the game (written by a Hawks supporter), gives a good account of the more contentious decisions and addresses the booing and what it was actually representing.

Booing is definitely the AFLs achilles heel as previously pointed out, hopefully it wakes them up to the real issues that are hurting the game (horribly confusing rules/interpretations). More likely they'll get upset at fans and condemn them for booing, which is really frustrating as a paid up supported invested in the game.

Lol, the idea that had it been an Essendon great ie Hird or Jobe that did the same then won the medal, Pies supporters wouldn't boo? Or any other team's supporters, for that matter. Spare me. It's the nature of the sport, especially losing a tight one like that.

So sick of moralizing of one entire group of supporters over another. It's both inaccurate and boring.

The booing by Bombers fans during the Anzac Day Medal presentation to Scott Pendlebury has been declared as “Essendon’s shame” by AFL 360’s Mark Robinson.

And his co-host Gerard Whateley believes the fans that booed during the ceremony “didn’t live the national character that we believe is part of Anzac”.
Just to prove how clueless Whateley is. The Anzacs were notoriously insubordinate and defined themselves as "we cannot shoot, we don't salute, what bloody good are we". Probably closer in Anzac spirit to boo, than not to boo.

Intriguing bit of this article, was that brothels were officially off limits, ''at least seven of Australia's 60 Victoria Cross recipients contracted VD'' (remembering, it's a time before Penicillin) https://www.smh.com.au/national/por...d-in-booze-brawls-and-sex-20100801-111f3.html
