Those explayers have an impartiality to their comments. It was the right sentiment, but it wasn't Buckley's place to enter the debate.
I think Buckleys comments were entirely appropriate and timely. He has the right to express his view even as a current coach of the team.
Nip it in the bud.
If these clowns boo during the presentations next year when we win after they have been placed on notice then they will be exposed for being the disrespectful sooks they are.

Right sentiment and sportsmanship is not limited to past players just because they are impartial.
The Essendon players were disappointed. But they displayed sportsmanship - shake hands after the game, stood there listening to Pendlebury.
Didn't see them booing.
It would also be nice if there was some sportsmanship and respect displayed by supporters after the game too.
Yell, scream and carry on about the play whilst the game is being played. Like the players - play hard during the game.
But at the end show some respect.
