hopefully we can get a non showdown crowd of over 50,000 and make the same amount of noise as the % of crows fans did at the showdown last week......normally only a select few fire up

I sit near the CS aswell. Every crows fan in my area of the seating is like atleast 70 years old, everytime I abuse one of the crows or opponent players they look at me as if someone just killed their dog.

Crows meed to market and attract young people to games, preferably 17-20 yr old females.

That's pretty hard to do - the cheering bit when you're losing, and losing by a fair bit.

One thing I did take away from the Showdown was the shattered myth about the Port crowd showing us how to cheer when the chips are down and the team is well behind.

Let me tell you as fact, that they are no different to theCrows crowd when we get into the same position - you could almost hear a pin drop at times.

One thing I will give them is that they are twice as loud when they do something spectacular or they score a goal - a tremendous noise level that must inspire their players.

Crows supporters also cop a lot of flak from Port supporters for leaving too early. I saw a lot of Port supporters leaving early on saturday. I really don't get this sledging that goes on between the 2. When the team is getting smashed its bloody hard to cheer then on because you are devestated. All the supporters are the same. Supporters from all clubs have ferals, some more than others but they are still there.

One of my mates is Serbian

I'm struggling, but it's something like "the same c ock wrapped similarly or identically"

Something like that, I think, Stiffy.

The Showdwon crowd showed that those people that whinge tehy can't get a ticket to the Crows are merely whingers

It was a disgrace there were still tickets left

And to all members who didn't go - poor form to you to

No doubt all the theatre goers will be back in their usual spot on Friday night, hardly saying a word.

No doubt I will get abused fro being noisy as usual (whether positive or negative) and I am fired up to get into a verbal stoush.

Our supporters need to lift.

Our support in Melbourne and at away Showdowns is better than a packed crowd at home by a fair margin.

Totally agree with you Jars, I've never been to a Melbourne Crows game but at the showdowns your much smaller 'away' crowd appears more passioante then when it's a crows home game.

I sit next to the cheer squad.

They're quiet. Don't have original chants. They're not too easy on the eye either. I can't actually figure out what they're useful for.
Which team has the beautiful cheersquad?

The only one I find remotely interesting (and not from an attraction point of view either) is the Hawthorn one, with those two blokes with the handlebar moustaches. They are a comedy routine.

Their fight at the end of Round 22 was a cack!!

Haven't seen them this year. Maybe they broke up?

I'd just like to say for the record that when i'm fired up for the footy, i'm the loudest, rudest supporter in a whole bay. We were among the only few crows in our bay at the showdown, and I ripped into every port supporter around me at the top of my lungs. Port supporters that say we're theater goers should've been sitting next to me, watching everyone sit there like stunned ****ing mullets before they left 16 minutes into the final quarter.

That showdown was a **** fest. When I paid out the reverend Burgoyne, this fluffy haired, pizza face plump glasses wearing nerd in a port scarfe tried giving me a stare. I've never seen someone get so p1ss scared when confronted with a reply of "gday mate!"

Being loud and passionate is fantastic!! Blowing ones own trumpet for scaring a nerd - not so fantastic

I agree.

A few years back when I went to melb for melb vs adelaide in the finals the crows supporters actually sounded half decent, same goes the following week against collingwood (even though there was a fair few crows supporters who made the trip).

Im embarassed of the club when those dont swear commercials with Ben Hart come up. What a joke! The sad thing is you can get ejected from a ground for swearing. I think any cop that tries to kick out a fan for swearing should have 10000 crows supporters bashing his head in... but crows supporters would never do anything 'unchardonnay like'.. and yes im aware I propably spelt chardonnay incorrectly.
