Sound familiar? Last finals series no one gave the dogs a chance to even beat the west coast, certainly gave them no chance to win the flag. Eagles finished 6th and went into a home final with rare form and were playing the 5-1 western bulldogs who may have got out to 6-1 odds. Doggies finished 7th.
Swans are in crazy form and finished 6th playing a team who look the least likeliest to win this week . I don't think Essendon will win, but when something Looks so clear cut and you draw a line through them it often goes the other way.
GWS weren't given much of a chance vs Sydney last year by most and they crushed them. Finished 4th again and playing away against an interstate side that finished 1st.
For many it looks clear cut as to who's going to win this week, but this season and last years finals has proven not to judge a book by it's cover.
Wouldn't be surprised to see another one point win for the swans vs the dons. Wouldn't be surprised to see them win by 60 either. Just pointing out last years finals and the season so far, anything can happen ( captain obvious I know )
Not that much of an underdog but now with Sloane out I see GWS winning vs the crows. Still an upset nonetheless.
Edited - similar to last year. Dons finish 7th, an interstate side, goes away to Sydney, who finish 6th in hot form like wce last year. Given no chance.
GWS go away to an interstate side ( albeit swans ) after finishing 4th and play the top side. Same as this year. 1 v 4 interstate game.
