Roast Essendon in no mans land

what all the people making fun of dodoro fail to realise is that he took the club to the fair work commission because he felt like he was wrongly terminated. you can infer that within his mind fortress, he felt like he'd objectively been performing his role at the club extremely well.

much to think about.

Am probably repeating myself but we're just not in no mans land anymore. We aren't an average side we're possibly slightly better than the terrible bottom 3 and are clearly rebuilding.

I have my doubts about Scott being the right coach but off field the club is hopefully willing to stick to this proper rebuild

Need to go all in on Mids and find some gems before you go anywhere, seem to have found some decent KPP kids and your flankers and wings look okay.

what we are seeing is the culmination of 15 years of consistently bad decisions.

we barely beat rubbish teams, and we get belted by the good ones.

it will be a long road ahead; all you have to do is hope we are on the right road.

Caldwell, Durham and Hobbs look good.
I reckon if they were the answer you'd already be looking better then you are, they all look good AFL players but they're not leading your next Gen to a flag imo. They were the flanker and wing types i was talking about, you need some nailed on midfield bulls.

They look like good young midfielders to me.

The rest of the positions honestly look pretty good too. I can't see too many holes on paper. They have showed what they are capable of. We will have good games and lose badly at times too. It's a young side, that will get bolstered by more top end picks and academy players in the next couple of years.

Getting thrashed by the Bulldogs is a litmus test that you're not a real contender, though we knew that.
Everyone knew that, no one more so than themselves, the club is in a rebuild, continually roll out one of the youngest teams each week and keep copping injuries to key players, this result should be no suprise to anyone.

I expected Bulldogs to win by about 40, but it isn't that surprising. Yeah you have copped it, no Draper throws your structure out too. Even though I don't like them, its getting old watching Carlton and Essendon stagnate in nowhere land for so long, especially as your main rival in Collingwood challenges for their 17th VFL/AFL premiership.

Yeah lol same, and young teams will be pasted. If WC/North or Richmond got pasted, there wouldn't be a thread about it. We're younger than them.

Bombers were actually older than Port, GWS, Roos, Tiggers, Saints and Freo on weekend, = with WC.

Not sure Roo's or WC have been missed by anyone when they get "pasted" (actually roos have been copping it big time this year and WC have been "Kaned" more than most).

Understand the Bombers are fairly confident that can get Reid over from WC, but a few more floggings, a middling lower 8 finish and then trying to sell the Bombers are in rebuild phase, won't help land him.

Before Goldy and Shiel came back we were the youngest in the league, apologies I should have amended these thoughts.
Without those two, Merrett was our oldest at 29.

What happened to Tsatsas? Pick 5 and hasn’t really performed to expectations.
Accumulates 30 at VFL level ..just can’t keep up with the pace at League level.

His kicking is a problem that probably can’t be ironed out.

He’s like parish ..good at handpasssing and linking up. He’s not going to be a superstar mid.

Everyone knows that, including us....

The only person who pumps our tires are the media.

media is doing nothing like this

Depends what media you watch or listen to I guess.

Please provide these articles. Absolute news to me.

Not so much articles. Maybe I listen to too much Cornes and Kingy.

Yea they get it too for anything mildly impressive.

Which wouldn't be an issue if it didn't seem the club (Dudoro especially) didn't seem to believe and get caught up in it each time.
