2022 rebel VFLW Finals week one fixture

The AFL has today confirmed the fixture for Week One of the 2022 rebel VFLW Finals Series.

TLDR format

Our Essendon Bombers finished top of the ladder after the 14 Round Home and Away season with 12 wins and 2 draws - ZERO LOSSES.

As such, we have hosting rights for the Qualifying Final...

Essendon (1st) v Hawthorn (2nd)
Saturday 11th June - 11:05am at Windy Hill - Free entry. Game on WARFRadio.com and AFL.com.au

In the elimination finals, Casey Demons (3rd) host Collingwood (6th) and Geelong (4th) host the Southern Saints (5th).

If we win, we'll host the following week a Major Semi-Final at Windy Hill, against the highest ranked winner from the Elimination Finals.
Winner of the Major Semi-Final goes to the Grand Final, to be held at North Port Oval. Lose of Major Semi-Final goes to the Preliminary Final, also at North Port Oval.

If we lose, we have to take the long road to the Grand Final, via the Minor Semi-Final at Windy Hill, against the second highest ranked Elimination Final winner.

Grand Final will be show on Channel 7.

'91 was 3 v 4. Year Of The Rising Saints (3rd place) cut short by a 1 goal loss to Geelong and out they go. Think they changed it after that.
