Actually, I was just thinking how ironic it was that we could now give another team shit about drugs. And that what Essendon did was so much worse than anything that happened at West Coast!
Who would have thought that the boys getting on the gear would be tame? Well compared to the club sanctioned systematic doping of a team, it is really, isn't it?

After the fiasco that occurred at my club perhaps that would have deterred any smart clubs in the future from that time using don't ya think? Given the amount of publicity and disruption it caused?
Then again perhaps your club isn't one if the smart ones?

Yeah your dead right, but i think the thing we weren't smart about was who we employed at the club and how much power they got, certainly not expecting an easy win either.

I think you will find that Essendon has been 100% co-operative with the AFL and ASADA right from the word go, West Coast were happy to let the situation they were in roll along because at the time they were having success, was only when the performances dropped off they decided to act.

Actually, Trevor Nesbitt is on record saying he went to the AFL for help at the end of 2005 because the club knew it had a problem, but they didn't know how to deal with it. The AFL turned their backs on West Coast and offered no help at all, telling the club they had to deal with it. Then threatened us with sanctions.
I guess the AFL having your backs for a problem Essendon created for themselves must be nice.

Whats worse? Illegal by law drugs that people overdose on and die or peptides that assist with muscle recovery? both are not good but I think I know whats worse.

Look to be honest both situations are probably as equally bad as one another, I just made a comment that I think West Coast are the one club that cant give Essendon shit about drugs, Pots, kettles that type of thing, its just a bit of banter.
Worse in terms of potential consequences for the individual, agree. Worse in terms of a team being unethical and trying to get an unfair advantage against its opponents, I think Essendon wins.

Well one club it knew the problem existed and chose to turn a blind eye, whereas the other club was just negligent and naive to who they let in the football department. When players are getting arrested and overdosing i think that's a far greater problem don't you?

Meh. Essendon only came clean when they knew they were going to be investigated.
We cooperated with the afl's investigation as well but didn't need to cooperate with asada because they had no interest in what we were doing because it wasnt potentially a club condoned system of organized cheating
