That's what some of you people don't realise...90% of the BF Essendon fans who have been posting non-stop support of everything about this circus are the fanatics aged under 25.

Some of us who are much older don't subscribe to all the red and black dogma.

can you explain what happened at the AGM then ?

or like yourself has there been a late transition from koolaid chugging hirdites to something resembling human ?

Only now are the faithful starting to understand the process:
Why on earth is the standard of evidence "to a comfortable satisfaction".
Surely when talking about a players career it should be beyond reasonable doubt?
and asada have the burden of proof.
**** me the way they've run this investigation they'd probably take 5 years to finish discovery in a standard court case

Getting a wee bit testy are some:
Didn't you get the memo? Everyone loves "Gill of the people" now. He's offered cut price fried potato and kick to kick so he's become the pied piper of ******* morons. So forget the pesky integrity, logic and corruption and just eat your chips.
campaigners!!

Some just underestimate the prickishness of James:
If players receive or accept even a days worth of bans I'm not comfortable with Hird coaching. my hope is he would agree and resign
I reckon he will he's not that much of a prick.

Farking Hird delaying the process with his BS appeal. I mean the AFL waiting 24 hours.. 24 loooooooooooooooong hours after notification to issue the Infraction Notices.. how much can they drag their feet?

I reckon if Hird doesn't appeal.. they issue the INs' maybe 6 hours after getting the notification..

I'm just sick of EFC delaying the process... thank God ASADA has stayed on track and kept this moving.. otherwise it could have turned into a two year cluster glory be..."

if you want a good read check out their 'last 15 years' thread.

The issue was the veterans list and the AFL holding off on it's inception IIRC. The kind of manipulation of the rules and competition that has become synonymous with the AFL commission. They wanted us to fall.
its been a long running conspiracy.

On whether players will sue the EFC after getting suspended:

"The players have stuck fat so far as have most of the fans. Smaller clubs would have disintegrated by now and we should be proud of how we have conducted ourselves. It is our unity that is driving the haters from other clubs insane with rage. Even with the endless squeals of hate and anger from certain shills in the media we have not wavered. Regardless of what happens we will always remember the loyalty and I'm sure that the club will too."

For the way these cock head supporters have conducted themselves for the whole duration of the process (remembering the sombreros, the threats, the marches, the blind ignorance), they deserve everything they cop in the outer for a long, long time. This has been a two year long orgasm for me personally. I am now cock eyed and have a head the size of a coconut. But, it has been worth it. I have kept my sig for the whole season and it will be vindicated. I can't wait to tag my old mate Ingnatious.

A 2 year orgasm eh?

Imagine the reaction if, you know, the tuggers actually win a final?

She said it. I'm just reporting it -
"Personally I find it amusing that the single biggest thing to happen in this whole sorry mess.. the actual issuing of infraction notices.. has basically gone under the radar... shows what a corrupt bunch of pricks run the media.

FFS we had more stories about Hird landing back in Melbourne than we have about players actually getting 'charged' with doping.

Seems to be the distinct feeling that this is all coming to an end.. and there seems to be a strong feeling the net result will be no bans. ASADA pushing hard for a 6 month ban that is partially back dated so that they players at least miss some games.. but looking less likely by the minute.

Players, players lawyers and the club are all very very confident (from the stuff being floated around) that there will not be a finding of guilt about this.

Either way we will have our answer soon.. which matches up with what I was told in October.. that it would be all done by end of Nov/very Early December.
The latest suggestion is that the players will be 'offered' bans that are backdated to when the SCN's were issued the 2nd time on October 17th. This means that they serve a 6 month suspension and return on April 17th. That means they miss Rounds 1 and 2 of next season and will be free for selection from Round 3 onwards. There is talk they will be allowed to train as a 'group' and return to 'club training' a month before playing ban ends, so they train by themselves December - March and then with the club March - April and ready for selection Round 3.

Even with that 'deal' being floated.. players and their lawyers are eager to fight.. that either suggests they are stupid OR they are innocent.

Personally I feel sick about it.. but I feel like this will have less impact next season because it will have been dealt with AND because we now have more guys who aren't effected by it.. than who are.. so hopefully the club is ready to move on."

And here is where she gets all her correct info from (as Essendon has nailed everything legally apparently).

"no.. I have a couple of friends who are on two separate legal teams for some of the people concerned.. so it is third hand information..

But the events of the last week match up pretty closely with what they said (and I posted) in October.. so all seems to fit.

The good thing is that we probably only have 2 weeks to wait now and we will all know what the outcome is.. which is good really.."

Ahhhh, yes, because Essendon haven't been appealing on legal technicalities as opposed to actually fighting the alleged charges of illegal substances being injected -

"Sorry but if there was even a 51% chance you were going to be 'done'.. then the smart thing would have been to take the ban deal and move on.. the fact that not a single player has gone down that path is telling to me..

There is arrogance.. and blind faith.. but there is also a concept that they are very confident they will win.

I'm guessing that if a team of highly paid (and respected) lawyers can't find a 'smoking gun' in 12,000 pages of evidence.. then there is no smoking gun to be found.. IF they had found anything that was a 'slam dunk' for ASADA.. then bans would have been taken imho."

It's like they don't even know the outside world exists. Might as well be living on the ******* Moon.

So if players can train as a group if banned away from the club, and Bomber Thompson no longer works for the club, is he going to train them?
We have had a couple of calls from a survey company wanting to ask some questions on behalf of Fairfax. They were interested in females 18 to 24. Daughter when she got on the phone said that she doesn't pay any heed to the Fairfax organisation. If she wanted to read poison she would buy ratsak.
Felt sorry for the girl from the survey company
Negative trash is just that.. trash.

I agree.. people get sick of it eventually and I think the complete lack of interest in the players actually getting IN's just highlights that people are over it.. and I think they are over The Age and its pissy 'paywall' BS crap writing shitstain of a 'news outlet' opinion.

The fact that every second story is pure fabrication doesn't help..
The AFL is not a world wide sport so technically Wada can't really do anything.
Did I seriously just read this?
Well they cant that's why we have Asada.
I'm starting to think if the players take some BS ban of 2 weeks Hird won't be going anywhere.
That will be gold.

Players will have an extra 2 weeks to prepare and they still get to keep their coach.
Hmmm does seem odd doesn't it the way how it all moved so fast with the AFL welcoming the in's seems strange to me.

I get the feel that that everyone who's involved ie the players, the club,Asada and the AFL are all on the same page to get an outcome that everyone can agree on.

I love how her arguements are fluid to the situation the club is facing:
Nope we wont receive Show Cause Notices their is a suggestion floating around (mainly in my head) that this will all be done with in April

There are suggestions that I'm hearing and this matches up with what I said earlier..... that the ADRVP will dismiss the SCN's issued to the boys so they will be back ready for the first week of pre season....

What I've been told from a really reliable source (Karen the sandwich lady at my sons kindergarten) is that the Infraction Notices are nothing that we can't defend and that we'll be premiers by the end of the year, James will be signed as coach for life... with a understanding that once he is done with coaching he will be able to slide into the Prime Ministership for a few years just before he is canonised...

From Whirlpool:

"
Did not say that. We will get pre-season plus 1-3 games max. Not because we are so "big and important" but because that is what they want to do. All the AFL care about is themselves and $$$. I't won't matter if we did or did not do this that is going to be the outcome.
All YOU deluded people calling for more are going to be sorely disappointed."

AFL is corrupt ......

It's sounds a lot like her triumphant "we're getting more than pick 26 for Stewart Crameri, you can take that to the bank" half an hour before Essendon caved and traded Crameri for pick 26

Tag away, knackers. Your sig has already shown me to be a knowledgeable football man with oracle like powers.

The extent of jimmies rustled by this saga has made all the future birth defects worthwhile as far as I'm concerned. Then imagine the reaction from the peanut gallery to our guilty players not missing a solitary game, I've just soiled my EFC Pj's mulling it over as I reply to your message.

Thanks for the good times, CB17. Feel free to tag me as much as your heart desires, it's always a pleasure. :hearts:
