Essendon team? wtf= tanking?

What the hell.

Is this a joke.

Honestly.

Sheedy predicted the club would go down hill for the next 40 years. It's been 3 weeks and we're struggling

Only a newbie, so don't carry much weight but I can't believe that side, in particular the non-selection of Houli, even as an emergency.

Can understand Hille & Dyson being dropped and Watson might just be stuffed. Peverill I don't rate but he's been doing well so that's harsh perhaps.

What makes it worse is dropping the experienced type and replacing them with another. Peverill for MJ is pointless. Why even select Hird? I can tell you I certianly hope the new coach actually selects the team that is going to play, I'm sick of the f*cking about with late changes every single week.

watson will come in for hird. can't believe houli didn't get a chance! houli will be really ticked off. hope this week he can prove his even more consistent thatn consistent!

We lacked foot skills and aggression at the footy the last two weeks.

The in's give us that. Pev needs to go and I presume Jobe is being dropped for something other than his on-field performance.

I want to win, these changes give us that opportunity. The only young player that is has the fitness base (excluding those that play in positions we have covered, Kep etc) to play is Houli and I think a lot of people are getting carried away with his disposal count.

I really don't think Houli used the ball anywhere near well enough on Sunday.

You are kidding me right?

Maybe at Telstra Dome but Campo and MJ coming in is a disgrace.

Hille and Dyson I have no problem with but to not bring in any of Keps or Houli and just wheel in the old timers is wrong.

Bottom 4 for 3 years and still making bottom 4 mistakes. :thumbsu:

this is very suss. what is Sheedy thinking?
altough finals is very remote chance from here, Essendon should be playing out the season to the best of there ability. To do this they need the best team available, with these omissions it clearly isnt the best available.I am very happy with the service sheeds has given our club ,but now I am glad the board had made the step to get a new coach. Because recently he has made some very questionable decisions in the way of team selections, keeping hacks on the list for far too long and game day tactics.

do not no how campo can still get a game .. he is slow and his skills arent crash hot .. i dont no how watson got dropped

just need to wait for sheedy to close the door behind him. the next 3 weeks mean nothing and our squads and performances will probably reflect that.

time to rebuild the club, not just on the field, but off it too.

No Houli!!
Surely Watson will come in for Hird.

this is a joke.
Hmm.. Sheeds experimenting in one of his last game as Essendon coach no surprise.

I guess Sheeds is giving MJ and Campo a last chance, if they don't perform now there careers will be all but over!

Who is going to get the ball? And who will play in the middle in the last quarter?

Well it's either Hird, or Watson.

Hird is pretty good at getting the footy, if he doesn't play I presume Jobe will replace him.

Hocking is a younger version of Pev with better skills. Everyone wants kids in the side and this is the closest like for like, but with improvement for the future we have on our list.

Hocking is a Peverill clone in terms of size, position and work ethic, but he uses the ball better.

So how are we any worse off in finding the ball?

Campo finds it alright too.

no Houli = disgrace.

MJ in after he played his worst game i've ever seen against Hawthorn

Yet he was the match winner the week before.

Did you see Houli's game last week?
He really didn't use the ball that well and if he does play for MJ how does that make us any more likely to win?

So many pointless negatives from respectable people... Kelvin Sheedy:confused:...

Listen to Mark Robinson on SEN...

Hille rucked his life out against the Crows, but for a important senior player, has failed in his past two games and is a player we can't hide when not playing well. Good decision

Peverill, worked hard but his time has come at Windy Hill. Good decision

Dyson, has his detractors and probably should be given more of a chance. Bad decision

Watson, all you sillyheads have nothing to worry about, either Jobe has offended off the field or he's just bin sneaked into the line-up. See what happens

Hird, probably won't play but if he does then it will definitely be worth it, can't see why you wouldn't rather see Hird play than Watson...

Johnno (37 hard and tough touches) and Camporeale had brilliant games for Bendigo and Campo will probably play his last game here against his old side which he will be fired up for.

Hocking, look forward to this boy having a go, Sheedy sticking with the youth.

McPhee is the man that should have bin dropped this week. Seems to many that is time in the red and black has gone and will be offered as trade bait.

Don't understand why people are so anxious to win 1, 2 or possibly 3 games( besides the extra game in Melbourne for Hirdy and Sheeds)?

Even if we make it, what the hell are we gonna do? Struggle over the line or even get flogged? Would lose an important midfield draft pick as well

I would rather lose these three meaningless (apart for the Hird and Sheedy reasons) games, get pick #4 (Carlton will win a game...), trade it with Bradley, Johns or anyone else (maybe McPhee) and get pick #2 from Melbourne, where we will get a Cotchin, Masten, Palmer, Morton or Ebert, all youngsters with pace, skill and hard bodies, something we lack.

Hope Bomber, Choco or Bluey take over as coach and develop a running, long kicking style that Hawthorn, at times, have committed to which will take us to a genuine premiership contender.

Sheeds has been brilliant, hard working, tough, funny, inspiring, loving and brave in everything he's done for the Essendon Football Club.

In Sheeds and Hirdy we trust.;)

Agree 100% Longy, thing dingbats haven't read our list obvuously...:(

My main concern is Watson getting dropped there is no way this should of been the case. The others i can see why they might of been omitted but Watson being dropped is staggering.
