Wonder if those two games against Brisbane and Sydney were a test to see how well we'd do hosting interstate sides on a regular basis. Highest crowds against Swans and Brisbane ever (excluding the 01 GF).

We've won 10 of our last 11 at Marvel Stadium.

I am all for more MCG games but would rather play harder opponents at Marvel.

Not the highest against Sydney - got higher crowds in 1996 (69k) and 1998 (62k).

That said 60k against Sydney and 48k against Brisbane were both excellent results.

It's days like this that I wish we played our home games at the MCG instead of Marvel. Our players deserve to be playing in the freezing cold in the rain. If we're going to kick 1 goal in almost a whole game, then it might as well be in the elements.
