Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely? No. Murphy was at Hawthorne when they made 4 Grand Finals in a row and had a 3 peat, not as the head but he was there. I get people want a scapegoat but when it's happened under multiple regimes the likelihood of it being "This guys fault" is almost certainly incorrect.

He was there, and was part of it. Assuming Russell was the head, yes, you have to give most of the credit to him but isn't the fact Murphy was learning off of him and delivering at least part of the program give some credibility?

Saying it's Murphy's fault and only Murphy's fault is incredibly simplistic and you're smarter than that. I'm not absolving him of blame, but it feels like the club is going in a circle about this. Hire someone new, injuries pile up after a few years, blame them, sack them and hire someone new again. Rinse, repeat. I'd like us to find out everything wrong with it. Whether it's the surface, the facilities, the biomechanics of the players, or a combination therein.

I think that's still incredibly simplistic, as this happened with Crow, with Robinson, with Quinn and anyone else we've had over the journey. Let's look at everything.

Again, I'm not absolving him of blame. I think it's happened far too often to far too many S&C guys for it to be a coincidence any longer.

Release McGrath to wing to repalce Duursma. Suns don't have many dangerous forwards - give jobs to Roberts and Johnson and Prior. Can always swap Roberts and McGrath

Feel bad for the players and it's concerning this keeps happening but personally think redman is the only big loss to the 22. The midfield and forward line are more balanced without parish and Langford IMO.

Couldn’t disagree more. Langfords injury struggles over the past two seasons are a major part of why the team has underperformed. You can’t lose an elite mobile forward in his prime without it knocking the guts out of the team.
