I'm glad injuries are a suitable excuse. I'm also impressed that Box Hill constitutes Hodge, Lewis, Mitchell, Rioli, and Sewell. Impressive depth if that's the case. Disappointing though that they would succumb to a side with Hank Slattery, Jarrod Atkinson, and the Anvil himself in Jay Neagle present.

It was always our intention to throw the game last year in what can only be regarded as performance art. We clearly had control from the outset when Jetta drew first blood, but ours was a much more big picture attack on the season, and a week later we demonstrated to you jive turkeys just how to beat the mentally weak Geelong.

This year, having already proven our point against Geelong last year we didn't bother, and we are now angling to emulate the fearsome Tigers in exposing the front running, lairisng, soulless Hawthorn expansion franchise.

Regarding the thread... we should really win this match, but if we come in with that same mindset we had against Richmond we will get rolled, however if we play to our abilities then we will win well.

Like I said, you finally got over the top of a 2 man down Box Hill side that day. Kudos.

Since then young Beau has moved on and been replaced by the leagues best forward line even without Buddy. Buddy in or out doesn't even matter against you blokes anymore. It didn't last year and it won't Friday night.

Our biggest issue is working out which of our forwards will kick the biggest bag this week.

Who other than Buddy has ever kicked a bag against us?

Roughead normally gets torn a new one by Pears, who is most likely back this week. So that cancels him out.

Gunston? lol, we're not Richmond.
Cyril? he'll duck and weave like the best of them, possibly kick 2 if he's lucky.
After Gumby kicks his 4th on Clangermakers in the 1st quarter you'll move him up forward and we'll just laugh at him, so that rules him out.

I suppose that's the advantage of Gibson. He lets the Hawk moron brigade overrate not just his own performance (0 goals against in 8 weeks against the deadly Forward50 Space) but also Clangermakers, whose MO seems to be "geez I hope Gibbo can get free from his exciting tussle with Forward50 Space and help me out here".

Fortunately, even with our two best forwards out, we'll be able to expose the bottom four standard of Hawthorn's defence. I'd say only Carlton and GC have a worse backline.
