Got to have turner play tag on saad. Shiel a big weapon, get Anderson to work him over. Ziebell head to head against Heppell. Thompson on stringer, Marley on wurripundi. North can win by 2 goals....

fu**en corker! Although that's what I said going into Good Friday. At least they're both in form now and playing good footy. Roos in particular have been a ******* beaut to watch.

ROOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Real tribal atmosphere when Essendon vs North play should be a cracking game

North in white hot form, Bombers still have room for improvement.
Going to be another instalment of the Essendon v North rivalry that has taken off since the mid 90’s.
Will be better than the marshmallow final of 98, the comeback in 2001, the missed shot after the siren by Mcintosh.

Looking forward to it

It’s that time of year when things really heat up for two sides caught up in the mid table logjam to bank another 4 points in the hope of cementing a finals spot. And the crowd reacts accordingly.

Expect a hostile Essendon crowd demanding results and mild violence towards the opposition on the field.

Awesome.

The mid 90s?

We've had a few of these types of games in the past month against Hawks and Sydney, where we were able to snuff out the slight chances of finals of our opponents. I expect North will be exactly the same. Fantasia always has a day out against North, so expect him to kick 4+

Going to be an absolute cracker - match of the round for mine .
Great contrasting uniforms always make for a crisp spectacle as well .
Way too many ugly as f..k clashes or wash outs this season .

I too like a crisp spectacle of contrasting colours between jumpers.

I thought I was the only one....🤔

We've kicked 20.12, 19.11 & 17.14 in our last three games against North. Wouldn't be expecting this again on the weekend but they have often found us challenging to play against in recent seasons. North seem very confident at overturning the 10 goal loss from earlier in the season.

Our midfield was rampant on Good Friday but North are in better form now. Higgins is a big loss for North in this situation but Heppell is 50/50 at this stage to play and I think both are equally important for their respective teams. Our ruck is a major achilles heal at the moment and this could be a big factor in determining how the game pans out.

Home game at Etihad and both teams having won 4 of their last 5 - should get a bumper crowd.
