Yep, I liked the way they battled all day, Johnson & Clarke have great skills by foot and provide good run out of defence.

ADW really impressed me especially in the 1st half, he puts his head over the ball and is hard it, played his fair share in the midfield but I'm not sure where he would fit in just yet, alot to like though!

Vigo was very good but it would be asking alot to play the ruck role at senior level at this moment, takes a good grab and his skills for a big man are very good, I would love to see him get a go as a tall fwd to start with and the give a chop out in the ruck.

Gerreyn is a natural footballer, takes a good mark and has a great kick on him, makes it look effortless. Once he improves his fitness I think he could make a very good AFL forward.

I also thought Cox was okay today in the minutes he played, got a couple of head knocks but continued on and hopefully the concussion symptoms are behind him.

SEH drifts in and out of the game and at times tries to chew more than he should by foot but provides excitement and has the willingness to take the game on he just needs to work on his defensive skills and it's probably the reason he's not playing more regularly.

Nguyen and Unwin have a real crack but will need a few years to build up their bodies to withstand the knocks they will get with their playing styles, also Unwin has a tendancy to drop his shoulder to get high contact which I think will make him a bit of a target.

ADJ, the less said the better, has not point of difference to either Gresham or Menzie and still looks a way off AFL standard.

Part I liked the most is how all of them lift in the last when we went down. Wasn't really any of their faults that we got smashed out of the middle in a burst, but all of them adjusted and stood up in their moments.

Gerreyn with the tap to Lual and then mark and beautiful goal, Nguyen a drawing men and standing in tackles before hitting the loose when everyone else was struggling to get it out of the contest, Clarke nearly getting one with that fat side run, really good game sense. Johnson started pinching off a few more aggressive kicks. Vigo pushed forward and goaled, and worked to provide a long target on the wing.

Gerryn is going to be a beauty. Has presence and a lovely kick.
Vigo was ok. Just needs to put on more weight but something to work with there.
Oskarr Smart is impressive. Natural footballer. Hopefully he gets on a list and it’s ours.
Nguyen is a nice player but doesn’t have any real tricks and is small.
Cox did ok. Needs another game in twos.
Guelfi needs another 3 games. Could barely raise his legs in last 1/4.
Davey Jnr is not up to it. Plays frightened.

The scheduling of VFL games is crap.

mid afternoon on a Friday is hardly encouraging an attendance.

Thought the same, but living 5 mins away managed to go for the first half and it was a much bigger crowd than I expected.

Loving Nykos game again. Mr. Non-negotiable.

Like the way he goes about it but he only goes at around 40% by foot which turns me off.

Initial thoughts.
Good to see Gerryn kicking a few goals. Like his skills.

Davey. Pretty quiet. Made a few tackles but has a real issue with making contact front on.

Visentini. Played well against Goad who is bloody tall and Teakle who has an okay leap. Seemed to keep going strong as the game went on. He is not ready to be thrown to the wolves against rucks like Xerri or Nankervis but I see no reason why he could not manage a few games as second ruck to Goldstein or sharing ruck duties with 2MP against the less physical rucks.

Johnson looked good again.

Thought Day-Wicks lifted this week.

Good to see Clarke back playing and he found a bit of the footy.

Cox got through his minutes and did a couple of good things.

El-Hawli was similar to last week. Wing in the VFL can be a hard grind if the play is more on the other wing. Played okay. Work rate okay.

Across his VFL career. It is deceptive as he does hit some nice passes. Not sure what it was today as the stats are not out yet.

Hey all, how did Quigg go? I've followed his journey for a few years but haven't had a chance to see much of his Gametime with Bombers.

Hoping he can impress and look to get onto an AFL list in the next couple of years as he is still young!
