Given the vfl game is on at 3:25, if a few mates and I wanted to rock up tomorrow and buy some general admission tickets at the ground, what time would I need to be there?
Gates open at 3:00, so I assume around then the tickets would go on sale.

So it's not really a curtain raiser? There'll be like a 90 minute break between games
Yeah, but the AFL players do have their pre-game warm-up.

Still hadn't watched last weeks game apart from the BS first 10 mins when we were robbed by the umpires... Thought i would give the second quarter a go and have to say i was pleasantly surprised. Two posters plus one out on the full by Cooney that he would have kicked 50% of the time. Then Zach had more time than he realised and dragged a snap low... We dominated the play and were clean with the ball use for 24 mins and would have got more opportunities if the ball had bounced more kindly. The commentators were calling it like Richmond were dictating the play, but in reality if we had kicked straight it looked for all the world like we would have got on a roll and blown them away. I really hope Geelong tries the same slow ball movement tactics again this week!
Not sure about the rest of the game but it looked like it we just got plain unlucky and Rchmond were good enough to take advantage. I saw nothing to suggest that there were structural or personal issues...

Same thing happened tonight to Freo.

Not sure where to ask this but, If I buy a ticket and just want to stand in the standing areas is that cheaper than buying a ticket for a seat?

Sorry to the mods if this is in the wrong place.

Was having a look before. I know if you buy them online, for an adult standing room is $25. Not sure if it's cheaper at the ground or whatever. I hope it is when I turn up tomorrow.

I just passed the junior age but should get concession so if I get a seat I might just stand anyway.

Don't want to pay $55 for a ticket with the chance of Essendon spudding it up.
There's always the option of becoming a member.

Anyway, if you're really keen, head to the ground early and see if you can get a GA ticket. If you can't, then just head to a pub to watch it.
