Learnings from training today.

1. Joey has a ripping double hand backhand and should take up tennis.
2. Tippa is crap in slips and should probably field at mid wicket.
3. The boys are having a nice relaxing winter holiday in sunny Queensland where most Victorians probably wish they were.
4. Perhaps we should do a Queensland 'hub' every winter.
5. The boys wouldn't need thymosin shots to boost their immunity as we would avoid the winter flu season in Vic. (Not sure about the windy hill flu though, I think that can strike anywhere).
6. Since coming to Essendon Caracella has a lot more grey hair, which is not surprising.

In: Langford, McKenna, McKernan, Guelfi

Out: Cahill (omitted), Ham (omitted), Gleeson (omitted), Bellchambers (managed)

Back to making Guelfi a thing. Sick!

I love how a club like Port Adelaide will have no issue with omitting guys like SPP, Wines, Westhoff, Rockcliff, and we still won't put (omitted) for an experienced player.

Would rather get a game into either Ham or Cahill regardless of form rather then Zaka.

Just cant bare to watch him continually run around half arsed and scared.
Ham and Cahill needed a rest IMO.

Agree with playing youth in front of Zaka though. Would have liked to see Mutch come in. Maybe in the coming weeks.

Surely last chance for Zaka to perform?

Apart from that not bad changes. Expect to see a bit of rotation for the rest of the year.

Would have liked to see Clarke in on the ball, Merrett to Zaka's hff, and Zaka 'managed'.

Otherwise, it is a much better team than we fielded last week.

Fair enough on them maybe needing a rest, but Zaka is offering absolutely nothing at present. Even give Mozzie a run with 5-7 minutes per quarter to get a taste of it, cant be any worse then Zaka's current contribution.
