Well as it turned out the oppertunity to get away from work at 2.30pm arose and there wasnt even 0.001 of a second deliberation. I was gone lol

Headed up to Bendigo to watch the game. Very good crowd, the ground was pretty much packed.The home made hamburgers where pretty good as well Hope they have them at the Bendigo Bombers games this year

To the game, it was not great for us in the first half . A lot of simple turnovers and poor kicking in general play and at goal.Too many times we kicked it staright to a Hawthorn player which put our defence under heaps of pressure.Hird played well. MJ was good but was guilty of a couple of shockers . Watson played well . Johns did well while he was on , took some good grabs on the lead, kicked a couple of goals but also sprayed a couple. One thing i noticed is the 30 second rule must only apply to experienced or well reconised players like LLoyd as Courtney was taking longer than Fevola yet the umps wernt yelling out 20 seconds gone like they where with Lloyd last week.Slatts must get a mention. Played on Williams and did well. Williams got 2 goals one from a free and the other from a lucky bounce.Slatts was in front and attacked the ball but he copped a shocker of a bounce over his head and straight to Williams who goaled. Other than that he was well held.Lee played on Roughhead for a bit and wasnt too bad , good to see him getting a few kicks and getting into the game a little more.Stanton was good. Lucas a little quiet but they was we bombed it into the forwad line at time wasnt really smart.We did not take into account the fact that the Hawks load up the half backline so at times we where trying to bomb it in high to Hille and Johns or Hille and Lucas and they where up against 4 or 5 Hawks at the contest.Hille played forward all night and was solid. Ryder was good in the ruck, got planty of taps just needs to keep working on his around the ground stuff. Carts was reasonable . Lovett did a couple of flashy things but faded in and out of the game. Monfires was very good. Dyson was a bit quiet , i would like to see him doing a bit more. Neagle played the second half but didnt get much of it.Lovett-Murray wasnt as busy as pervious weeks but he was still good. Heff was ok but he played on Miller in the seond half and im sure Miller had 12 or so disposals.
Overall the Hawks played well in the first half while they had there better lineup on the field. We where very sloppy and turned it over a little too easily. The second half we ran over them but they took off Mitchell, Williams,Croad,Bateman and Smith so there wasnt a lot of experience left on the ground.
We still need to work on our skills and the fact we let them in for 2 goals in the last few minutes of the last quarter when our guys stopped running.
