Not to mention he is on the base rate and there are players in other teams who will only play a handful of games who are on more than him!( so he is hardly overrated!), so we have got Carlton in that trade by giving up only Mcgrath who hasnt even played yet this year. Overrated? I think not.
do you believe what you say, or do you just like to post a lot?

say what you want, but Murphy isn't fit to carry Welsh's bag to the training ground.

Murphy is a scrub, a disruptive off field influence, who can't be relied upon when it counts. he brings less to his club than he takes, that's why he is always being given the flick. He flatters to deceive.

Why do you bombers fans want to play thsis game out before the teams take the field? is it because you get to act like winners in the days leading up, when you don't actually expect to take the points when it matters ?????

The closer we get to the game the more nervous I get. It was supposed to be wet but not a drop of bloody rain. I picked Crows but now I am having 2nd thoughts. I hope we win but not expecting a hell of a lot tonight:(

I'm feeling exactly the same way:( :(
I would be feeling a lot more confident if it was going to rain.

Oh come on, its Essendon at home. Season over if you lose. If the players play to anywhere near their best you will win.

If this and if that :(

If we play as well as we played against Port we should win but there are a lot of reasons why we could expect a letdown. The more essendon go without winning at Football Park the closer they are to a win.

It will be very tough. I already have butterflies in my stomach and the game is 6.5 hours away

I can only think of two reasons. The coach and leadership is crap, or the team is crap.

With your season on the line again you shouldn't lose a home game against what is essentially an average side with an average midfield. Game means a lot more in the context of the season to the crows than to essendon.

I'm with you on this one.

Blighty used to have an expression that you get what you deserve in football.

If we play to our best, given the home ground advantage, we will win.

If we lose, it will be because we didn't play well enough against a side that doesn't travel well and couldn't bring it's roof with it.

Exactly, and if Essendon's guns fire we will be blown away. It's a big if considering their form in previous games in SA but there's every chance they will turn it on, ala the Freo final, and if they do we're in serious trouble. You just can't say we're going to win because Essendon play poorly at AAMI and we're desperate for another win. The Bombers will be just as desperate to prove they can play interstate.

Personally, I'm expecting (hoping for) a rib-tickler, one which is still in doubt deep into the last quarter. As long as our boys turn up, I can't complain too much.

Agree with Port01 and macca23 on this.

We are a proud club with a tradition of winning what we, on paper, have no right to win.

Our backs are against the wall and last week is a long time ago. No excuses for basking in old sunshine.

I expect a full throttle team performance from our boys, nothing less. If we lose it better be because Essendon were awesome, not because we didn't turn up.

I agree napsyd.
There should be no excuses...but I remember the flop after the Richmond game.

Essendon will be ripe for the pickin'.....and so were Pork the difference being we had seven monkeys to get off of our backs.

The Bombers are playing well and having not only luck with tribunal appearances but also with the umpires.

WE NEED TO BE VOCIFEROUS..........WHO EVERS GOIN'

Dare I put the moccas on them but Im gonna tip 'em.;)
