For me, I think Essendon are pretty average team right now, and I'm not sure we are really that much better. Given that we are playing at home, in damp conditions, we should get the points.

If we don't, then it will be very disappointing backup from the players. It's laid out on a plate for them at the moment, and if we're not good enough - well then we're not good enough.

I read recently about a speech Larry Bird gave to the Indiana Pacers at the beginning of the season, when he took over as GM.
"just 2 things will define us this season:
1. we will not be an excuses team
2. everyone is accountable"

in light of this, I personally think this game will be very revealing about us, and the character of this football team.

Were gone

Based on your statements we dont have much to look forward to, as that was pathetic. To be down by 18 pts in the last quarter and to be done by 40 odd points is disgusting.

God knows where we go from here, but Ive had a gut full, as there is just no consistency with the team, play well one week and then absolute crap for the next few.

Michael Jordan once said "Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it. " What AAMI stadium Hoodoo ?!

Can your gloating. We wouldn't have come to your board and gloated had we won.

So you beat a misfiring unit. Whoopdie-doo.

You will get exposed by the true top 8 teams. Without Hird, Fletcher and Lloyd your team is a bottom 4 outfit.

No were near the best

You may have beaten us, but youve got fuc* all chance of winning the season, as I have watched Brisbane and St Kilda and you are currently not in their league so run off back to your own board.

Murphy is a scrub, a disruptive off field influence, who can't be relied upon when it counts. he brings less to his club than he takes, that's why he is always being given the flick. He flatters to deceive.

Why do you bombers fans want to play thsis game out before the teams take the field? is it because you get to act like winners in the days leading up, when you don't actually expect to take the points when it matters ?????
15 kicks 10 handballs 9 marks 5 tackles 1 goal...not bad for a scrub you ****er!

before i leave, can i ask if ok.crows still wants to rate the bomber 2004 midfiled on that one game from round 15 2003?

From a Crows fan POV, Adelaide's midfield would wipe the floor with Essendons midfield, as demonstrated quite vividly when these two teams met at AAMI Stadium last year.
My mere suggestion that it was unwise to judge Jason Johnson, Justin Murphy, Dean Rioli and Joe Misiti on a game they weren't playing in was dismissed as simply an excuse for our side's dismal performance...

who was i to think that 4 different midfielders might have a different affect on the game..

oh well, onto round 9...

From a Bomber fan POV, Adelaide will have no trouble with Collingwood. Adelaide's midfield would wipe the floor with Collingwoods midfield, as demonstrated quite vividly when these two teams met at Football Park, round 12, 1999

You were right.

Apart from Ricciuto and McLeod, we got flogged in the mid-field. But then we got flogged all over the ground.

Too strong, too fast, too good.

Good luck for the rest of the year - it looks like being a good one for the Bombers.

It just goes to show how stupid we supporters really are.

Our general consensus was that we would need Biglands to play as an extra tall against Hille when he rested up forward, with perrie to get the right royal flick.

The coaching staff, who are much closer than we are, knew better.

We got a Perrie, but no Biglands. Perrie showed beyond any doubt - not that I had any - that you just can't put an absolute unco into your back lines. He has a major case of the footy dumbs.

Why oh why weren't mine and Stiffy's pleas to trade this dork at the end of last year answered while he had some value.

He's worth about a half eaten toffee apple at the minute!!
