So your early premierships don't count for as much then?

And it wasn't until Hawthorn showed the way in the eighties that football became professional?

They still count, everyone was on a level playing field.

Of course it matters, we weren't in the competition but when football became a professional sport and just not a recreational sport for cricketers to keep fit in the of season Hawthorn has been the better.

Mr Lizard, I'm refering to this post, not the fact that premierships are worth more or less over the years, a premiership is still a premiership. The Hawks have done well in their history though.
