I would laugh because I'm really hoping Essendon don't take Sweid. The only player I can think of that has similar attributes to him and has been successful is Dion Prestia. But the Prestia types are really fading out of the game. And I think Sweids kicking action is rubbish, almost as bad as Tsatas.

We've drafted quite strongly since 2021 and will hopefully continue to do so.

Cameron Nairn interests me at our second pick. His strengths line-up with Jack Gunston's. Getting a year or two of on-field and off-field coaching from Gunners could do wonders for the lad, like it has for Calsher Dear.

yep, smallish mid/forward wouldn't be high on Hawks list when they arleady have Moore, Watson, Ginnivan.

Although more midfield and defensive cover might be required given Jiath and Serong exits.
Maybe someone like Oskar Taylor if he still was on the board.

Are you suggesting we'd ignore Nairn for that reason? Or would potentially look at him due to being closer to 190cm with the ability to play taller?

A dynamic midfielder is the biggest list need IMO. Hence why I really want a Farrow or Cumming type.

With Farrow, NHH, Marsh , dovaston, Lindsay and Greeves most likely available, we won't be playing petty silly buggers at all. 13 is an easy decision for me and hopefully the club

Unfortunately 22 is still a 1st round pick so it can be used effectivily if bitterness is there

Missing out on Merrett and losing Worpel would they look for a player who could impact 2026 to some degree?

Common sense ain't too popular. I think your thought process is $1.01 honestly. 2026 is big for the Hawks given Gunston and a few others age (although he might be able to go on, cos he's that clever), so maybe we're jumping the gun a tad.
