I call on Stiffy to give us all a very un-bias round-up of Euro2005, coz we all know he's been flowing it. Did anyone buy that video-pass to watch all of Euro2005 for like $10.00? Not a bad deal.
 
Lets put it this way. I got up this morning at 3:30 to watch S&M lose to france in a knockout game, where the tallest French player on the court for the last 4 minutes was 202cm. How the ******** we lost that game I never know.

One thing is for certain, heads will roll over this and I would start with the head coach who can talk a lot of ******** but doesn't put the runs on the board. PATHETIC EFFORT!!!!!! :mad:

We got embarrassed in our own backyard :eek:

One shining light to come out of this whole thing is the form of Darko Milicic.
 
Yeah saw that this morning could not believe....Head coach does have to go... the last couple of Tournaments S&M have choked badly... What was the story with Peja not playing...was he unavailable or injured ??? :eek:

Peja didn't want to risk injuring himself before his "contract year"

We have been bitterly diappointing in the last 2 European chmapionships and last year's olympics. The last medal we won was back in 2002 world championships when we won the gold.

Since then we have had 2 coaches. First one was hopeless and got the sack. The current one is living off his past glory where he had one of the best coaches Europe has ever seen as his assistant and a golden generation of unbelievably talented players.

Now we still have as good a players as any other european country out there even without Peja. For european standards our froncourt is stronger than that of any other country and it runs deep. We are very good on the wings and solid in the backcourt yet we still can't even make the quarter finals. ******** weak that :mad:

We have best player in europe over the last decade in Bodiroga, Best PG in europe for the past season in Rakocevic, We have a collection of solid NBA players in Jaric, Radmanovic, Rebraca, Milicic and Krstic, and we have some of the best european players on the squad.

This is just unacceptable. The **************** is dragging the country with richest basketball tradition in the world down the bloody drain. Heads must roll :mad:

I know ay, I couldn't flipping believe we lost. Absolute disgrace but being a S&M supporter over the years in all sports I have come to terms with our inability (most times) to perform to our full potential.
 
Its all good having great players........ put under pressure lately in the big Tournaments.. Since Olympics we have been dreadfull :thumbsdown: ... They should of never went back to Obradovic .... 2 Euros and Olympics fallen in a hole since the win in Indeanopolis WC.

Even his last stint as head coach Sydney 2000... Olympics they were awful...Back then he said he was responsible for there poor form....
wot now we will Gold at Euro...we lose ...hmmm too many egos....

In the after match press conference Obradovic let fly at his players. He blames them for everything. No chemistry, hate between players, punch ups in the change rooms, ignoring his directions, partying until early hours of the morning, excessive drinking, backstabbing and a LOT more.

Crickey we have officially hit rock bottom. Apparently the NBAers thought their ******** doesn't stink. Thats apart from Rebraca and Milicic.

At least one bright light to come out of all this is Darko Milicic. Best player of the NT IMHO. Gave us defensive intensity when we needed it. Absolutly dominated the post defensively, scored at a high percentage and grabbed rebounds. Unfortunately he didn't get a lot of time. I was ********ed off he only got 1 minute against France when he was excellent in earlier games for us.

Man this just gets worse and worse.

Stiffy mate, it pretty much happens to every team that were at their peak, they are bound to fall sometime. We just fell harder then other teams do.

Yeah. As a Pistons fan it certainly gives me hope for the future. He's got good lateral quickness and timing. If he can learn to take it to the hole underneath the basket instead of shooting he will do well.
