Good start for the Blues, winning 0-2 at Salzburg. Lech Poznan drew away at Juventus so we're in a pretty good position to start the group stages.

Liverpool currently 1-1 with Steaua Bucharest.

Poor effort by the Spanish teams. Sevilla, Villarreal and Atleti all losing. Isn't there meant to be a third English team in there? I only see Liverpool and City. :S

edit*: Oh A.Villa didn't make it through qualifying lol

Speaking of Juve, I think I might be following Poznan as my Europa team this season. Unless there's another Polish team in there from Sopot, Wroclaw or Swidnica ... which I doubt lol.

27 Krzysztof Kotorowski (G)
3 Ivan Djurdjevic (D)
22 Grzegorz Wojtkowiak (D)
23 Marcin Kikut (D)
5 Manuel Arboleda (D)
25 Luis Henriquez (D)
10 Sergei Krivets (M)
21 Dimitrije Injac (M)
14 Semir Stilic (M)
17 Slawomir Peszko (M)
16 Artjoms Rudnevs (F)
------
33 Gerard Bieszczad (G)
19 Bartosz Bosacki (D)
2 Seweryn Gancarczyk (D)
7 Jakub Wilk (M)
15 Kamil Drygas (M)
18 Artur Wichniarek (F)
20 Joel Tshibamba (F)

Rudnevs scored a hattrick. Disappointed they scuppered a 2-0 lead to trail 2-3 before he got his third in injury time. Not many Polish names there though. Surprised they have so many foreigners. (bolds I'm pretty sure are Polish, italics not sure)

Although I do follow Juve, I don't as closely as I should be.
Was going to choose this game or the man city game...chose the latter oh what a poor decision.

They have no creativity in the central mid with Melo and Sissoko. De Ceglie keeps getting games when he is average attacking and below average defensively. The wingers aren't too bad, seems we got 3 RM/RW's though. Krasic is quality enough with Pepe able to play there and left it seems. Del Piero is still class, Iaquinta is very hit and miss and Amauri hasn't come as expected. Should've let Diego settle....just got that shirt last season.

Need a new RB, Motta to LB, Buffon is needed back big time, A new CM/Creative type....heck a Riquelme type would've been good and probably a new striker, someone clinical. Surprised they didn't get Rafinha for the RB position, i swear he was rejecting us then went to Genoa (correct me if wrong).

It'd be good if they got Dzeko, but he probably shouldn't come until we get a bit more creativity in the side.

Aussie Nathan Burns played 70 mins in AEK Athens 3 - 1 over Hajduk Split. Did some nice things, won a penalty. Gets a lot of praise in the greek media.

Things id rather win than the Europa League

A lead role in Rob Schneiders next film
A date with Joey Barton
Tony Pulis hat
A fourth testicle

FIFA need to supersize this. Run the comp like a World Cup style knockout tournament and do it over 2 weeks. Let teams catch up with the 2 fixtures they miss some other time. The end

Why don't they play Aquilani?
I forgot they got him on loan. Should be more suited to the Italian game (as he was at Roma) if he can stay injury free. If he isn't injured, he really should be playing. Much more creative than Melo or Sissoko.

Juve are the Liverpool of the Serie A.
