Masaaki Kagawa 28000
Vicky Coren 16000
Humberto Brenes 0 Busted
Annette Obrestad 0 Busted
Roland de Wolfe 0 Busted

Masaaki (pic below) is the rich Japanese businessman that played at Crown. Finished 3rd in the 100k buy-in. Vicky is do-able. Humberto is an annoying prick. Almost certain that's Pocket 5s Annette_15.

And yes, I have no time for RdW.

Re: EPT Final - Monte Carlo

"Patrik Antonius was caught making a move with a junk hand and ended up rivering a gutshot straight against Adam Junglen as he pushed his stack to over 90K. Antonius raised and Junglen re-raised with A-J. Antonius re-raised a massive amount and Junglen thought for a moment before he called. The flop was Q-4-2 and Antonius moved all in. Junglen sat and pondered a call for what seemed like five minutes as a wall of spectators surrounded their table. He called with just Ace high which was the call of the tournament for Adam wbecause Antonius had 5-3o. Antonius' face went white when Junglen called his bet. He was caught with his pants down and a lucky river card saved the day for Antonius as Junglen was crippled after that hand. Junglen made the right read and the result went against him."

Re: EPT Final - Monte Carlo

I've been watching for almost half an hour and I've seen one flop, no turn. Interesting, but pretty boring. I want a showdown but I don't think I'll get one before they break for dinner and I need to go to bed!

o0o0o, that guy just laid down kings.

I'm not 100% sure if the other guy had an ace. Maybe a high flush draw with a lower pair? That's the beauty of watching live broadcasts, I guess. You never know!

Yeah I was watching. It might be good to not see hole cards, it's not so good to never see a flop. I got bored.

Re: European Poker Tour (EPT)

2 year bump!

EPT 5 Grand Final is down to the final table, and the winner will secure one of the biggest payouts in history, € 2.3m or about US$ 3.1m.

http://www.pokernews.com/live-reporting/2009-ept-montecarlo/main-event/

Dag "This game is easy" Mikkelsen is the chip leader.

*****

Another event running concurrently in the € 25k High Rollers tournament.

http://www.pokernews.com/live-reporting/2009-ept-montecarlo/high-rollers/

79 players. James Obst played, lost a lot of chips to David Steicke on Day 1. I have to wonder how Liv Boeree got the money to play. Why would any sponsor enter her (so to speak) when she's got no chance of cashing?

Anyway, Vanessa "Game Theory" Rousso is the big chip leader going into the final table on Day 3, followed by Tony G. David Steicke is 5/8. 1st place gets € 720,000, which if Vanessa wins, would be the 3rd biggest ever payday for a female.

Re: European Poker Tour (EPT)

What a blowup by Dag Martin Mikkelson. Big chip leader with 4 left (see below), yet busts in 4th:

Mikkelsen: 16,895,000
Tulchinskiy: 5,885,000
Woodward: 4,810,000
De Korver: 365,000

Now de Korver is chip leader with 60% of the chips in play. Poker, funny game!

Three left in the High Rollers event, including Vanessa Rousso and Tony G.

Re: European Poker Tour (EPT)

Vanessa Rousso won the High Rollers event after being a 6:1 chip dog heads up. Tony G finished 3rd. They did a deal 3-handed where they each took €420k and then played for the balance (about another €150k).

And Pieter de Korver won the Main Event (€2.3m). He won his entry via a freeroll satellite. And at the final table was down to 2 big blinds before Dag Martin Mikkelson went on tilt. I couldn't see what prompted the tilt given that it started when he had about 2/3 of the chips in play. Maybe he had somewhere else he had to be.
