Ah yeah...good memories of that one.

First round at Old Trafford and Juve said that they lost because their first choice team was all out with the flu. They even wanted the tie rescheduled. Spanked them and they said things would be different on Italian turf. On their turf, we spanked them again.

The Old Slut of Turin is Manchester United's bitch.

Arsenal were just taken to school. Believe me, that is a massive turnaround from Inter. We've been playing horribly, or maybe Modena and Siena were just tougher opposition. ;)

I take a little bit of what I said about Julio Cruz back, but not all of it.

Taken to school indeed, men against boys, the Italians are well & truly back after last season.

I hope you enjoyed it mate.:D

All that stuff about 14 shots to 4 is a red herring, we were never in the game.

I'm not too disappointed though as never in a million years did I ewxpect us to challenge for the CL this season.

If we couldn't do it last season what hope do we have this year with a weaker squad?

The New Stadium needs to be sorted once & for all so that we can start spending few quid again.

Hey Smokin I was agreeing with most of what you said until you got stuck into Arsneal fans, I don't understand why you're branding us as sore losers, no worse than anyone else I would have thought.

yea as soon as i posted i knew i went over the top on arsenal fans, especially the good ones here.

its mainly Wegner, and certain fans, who seem to have an excuse for everything. For example in the leadup to the Inter game he wouldnt give inter respect, stating arsenal had to win really well to gain the respect they dont have blah blah. It was like the guy was just expecting a big win.

After - what does he say? "I felt that everything turned against us" blah blah, "the difference between the two teams was not 3-0". Not once did I read or see him give the team who took his team to school credit.

"We had a lot of possession and if we had scored first it could have been a very different game,"....He described the first goal as "cheap" (from uefa.com). Just makes me sick that bloke, and fans like apollo creed who are blinded by reality. Yea they had some possession, but no quality possession. Couldnt he see that he played right into Inters game who love to sit back? (more so than is normal from italian clubs).

It seems every soccer fan board has at least one or two arsenal fans crying about how they werent that bad, trying to downplay Inter etc, and after seeing creeds post i had to react. I apologise to the good fans here.

Last season the popular idea going around message boards after their CL exit was "unlucky" - arsenal it seems are always "unlucky" in Europe. That was just months after reading Arsenal fans talk about going thru the season undefeated, having the best team in Europe (yep even a certain couple here were trying to convince people of this) when in Europe this team hasnt achieved anything of note.

Generally most of the Arsenal fans here are fine, but as a club, Arsenal doenst rub well on me. Its mainly wegner, but gee, they just think they are so much bigger and better than what they are.

IMO arsenals problem in Europe lies pretty much with Wegner. He obviously cant see what Man U have realised for a long time now. You cant play in Europe like you do in England. You MUST change and adapt these days, and man U do it very well. The relatively basic English style will come unstuck against (comparatively) extremely well drilled teams from the continent.

Don't assume im a gooner fan becuase I am actually a Villa fan.
U r saying Inter had more than 5 shots on the website it says they had 5 so u can obviously remember all of them.
I agreed Arsenal was outclassed with superior finishing. If Arsenal took some of there chances the scoreline would hae been closer. 3-0 was a little bit flattering IMO.

Have a problem with Wenger, but I would much rather an over confident, excuse making, disrespectful bastard than the 18 EPL managers that are OK with being Man U's bitches.

What a beautiful game, what a win!

Who cares who had the posession, that's how Inter play and yesterday they got it right for once. Had the best chances of the game (excluding the penalty) and totally dominated a flailing Arsenal.

Yeah, but Keegan is managing the Massives, not Arsenal.

Whcih made me laugh when I read today:

'I'm not making excuses but maybe David (Seaman) had a problem with the lights'

Kevin Keegan not making excuses for another Seaman blunder.:D

Love him to bits, but sometimes saying nothing is the best way to go about things.

Think Keegan, Allardyce, McLaren, Strachan may disagree.

This wot i just heard on BBC:

Stuttgart 2 Man Utd 1. Howard saved a penalty.

Chelsea lost to that Besitas side 2-0.

Rangers drew and now top the group.

Can't remember anything else, it's too late in the night for me...

Very bad result from United. It seems that woeful defending led to Sutggart's opening two goals. Oh, and will Moomba shut up - "Gary Neville is a German?".

Have not seen any highlights, but from what I gather the defence was disastrous. Big mistakes from Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand.

I must say I didn't expect a win in Germany, Stuttgart are a competent side but I would have liked a point at the least.

Oh well, we will have to salvage some pride by raping Rangers next round.
