Chelsea

Geez Chelsea, i come out and say how good it is seeing Arsenal struggle and you do this to me. Now we play Lazio twice, which won't be easy to beat them, but can be done, is this the first sign of Chelsea not being able to gel and swapping the team around every game just ain't gonna work.

Well i reckon it wont work anyway. Changing the lineup all the time simply means they cannot play as a team. But they do have too many players...

well, we were extremely *****house this morning - what a boring game.

Cafu's rader was out of wack, Rui Costa had a shocker, Pirlo was invisible except for some great turnovers. As expected Rivaldo was given match time - and reminded us all why he isnt getting games Thank god for one P. Maldini who was our best, and Nesta was solid as always.

Neither keeper was needed in this game. Celta went fairly defensive, and the game panned out as if both teams were playing for a draw.

Thats the worst effort I can remember from us for at least a couple seasons. We had no life at all. Im hoping we were simply looking ahead to the Derby this weekend.

Well dissapointing result for Rangers after leading for until the 87th minute, 2 points thrown away and with ManU losing it really makes the group open for anyone to go though. The next match we have will be very important, if we can get a win or a draw from the 2 matches against Man U, I'll be happy with that. Anyway on top of our group and with a Old Firm match this weekend we must keep on winning

The next two rounds will tell the story for United and Rangers.

If either side gets 4 points, then they will probably go through as you'd think that both sides should be able to get one more home win in their remaining games. If it's Rangers who get them, then I think United will struggle to get through to the next stage. A home game vs Stuggart followed by a visit to Greece - it'll be bloody hard to get the 6 points needed.

And if they win the thing, they'd have to put another wheel on the wagon. And a new chant to go with it.

"The people on the bandwagon go round, and round. Round, and round, round and round ..."

Our European away record was quite good last season - can't remember us dropping too many games (although there was that stinker against Real Madrid). We also spanked a few teams like Deportivo and Juventus on their turf.

We do seem to have problems with German sides though.

Yea last year was pretty good, but if I remembered correctly they lost to Deportivo (not sure). Real were too good for them

I remember that Man Utd dont usually do well in Champions League away games. They lost to Deportivo twice in a group stage before, lost to PSV, etc.

In the year that we lost to Deportivo twice in the Group stage, we actually met them in the finals. In the two group matches, United owned Deportivo for 170 out of the 180 minutes of football - but in that 10 minutes of defensive stupidity, Deportivo scored the goals that won them the two group matches. In the finals, we belted them twice. We've since met them two further times and belted them both times.

We seem to do okay against Dutch sides (may have lost to PSV, but we've also belted Feyenoord), the Portugese, and most of the smaller European leagues. But it's the Germans and the Italians that give United the most trouble.
