Deserving winners: great song, great singer, great stage performance.

Those presenters creeped me out! Seeing their weirdness on stage made me wish all the more that TW was doing the commentating. Des Mangan was trying his best, but you can't do it right unless you're being nasty ;)

How do some of these songs even make it to Eurovision? Within the first minute I think most people can pick out which songs have a chance and which are total plop.

shake it sakis rouvas was very unlucky for greece, he even did a flip, he was entertaining and classy, ukraine was a 50/50, heaps of dancers but i just didnt see what was so good about it, personally i would have preferred serbia to win or greece. I love it how the friendly countries give each other votes all the time. Cyprus youngster was very good, in the end i thought the performance by sakis should have been enough for greece, its funny how last year greece deserved to be at the bottom yet they finished a bit higher and this year they should have won it but came in 3rd. Bad luck to the serbian guy i thought he was good.

My thoughts from the evening:

- Did Des Mangan give the winner away when he said the Irish entrant should be drinking Ukrainian beer?

- Des Mangan was terrible - bring back Terry!

- Too many ballads! They never win, it's always a upbeat song with a gimmick.

- Too many white suits! Special kudos to Norway for his outfit.

- Babe content was slightly down on previous years. Honourable mentions to Ukraine and Sweden...and Poland's dress!

- Just what was the guy from France thinking? "I know, a bald chick on stilts will help me win". You turkey.

- Malta's duo were a classic, a mullet with a part at the front is a great look.

- Spain. Just why did that guy play the guitar for 2 bars before throwing it away?

- I'm a huge ska fan, so I loved Turkey's entry. Not sure how anti-establishment it is to have a song like that on Eurovision though.

- Bosnia was definitely the highlight of the night. More camp than a scout jamboree. Deen, I salute you.

- Having all 36 countries vote is pure madness.

Dancers are good. Dancers looking like extras from Hercules or Xena are better. But Grace Jones on stilts is the BEST :D Reminds me of the chick that was "born" out of what looked like a black bean bag a couple of years ago.

And how has no-one mentioned the hosts of the event??? Dr Death and The Little Mermaid had nothing on those two! Oh how I needed Terry's opinion on them...
