Everitt a Bomber?

If Roos talked to the other 14 clubs and asked them if they put a bid down on Everitt on the provision that if they say yes he would not make any bids on Everitt I am sure he will find that he had 14 honest answers and prove one way or another if Pelchen was lying.

Are you stupid Tas?

No club would tell a rival if they are harbouring interests in a certain player. It's called a comparitive advantage and in trading it can be the difference between life and death. It's all smoke and mirrors.

Milne isnt that bad a player is he? Maybe its his off the ground stuff... but even so wasnt long ago he was in the top 2 or 3 small forwards. Then Thomas plays him up the ground...

I'd be tempted to take Everitt for Milne, but Milne is 27 next year so maybe not.

He is inconsistent. The up the ground move did not really work to get him back into form. Very much a confidence player. He still has time to come good.

now way its us, most likely st kilda IMO, i think we may have learnt from our mistakes, salmon was poor, Allan wasnt much better, barnes was the only one who remotely payed off.

Not again, surely.

I can't understand why anyone would want to give up much at all for an ageing formerly good ruckman?
If a team feels that he will make the difference in winning a flag they will give up the pick.

I agree that only sides with a real chance of a premiership in the next 2 years would bother going after Everitt. St Kilda won't go there, once bitten. West Coast wouldn't bother with their ruck stocks (although he can kick some major goal hauls at FF). Fremantle, Melbourne or the Bulldogs... no.

I think the mystery club is Adelaide. Biglands did his knee, Hudson hasn't fully recovered from his knee, Maric and Meeson haven't fully developed yet, and Clarke retired after playing most of the season.

With this ruck situation plus Hentschel gone and Welsh perennially injured, a quality ruck who can kick plenty of goals when he goes forward would be a pretty good get for the Crows.

But I still think he'll end up at Sydney.
good point about the crows, they have been very quite havent they?

whereas you are being entirely reasonable about thornton.

can't have it both ways.

How can you say we aren't being reasonable when we haven't even had a chance to put an offer forward for Carlton to look at? Should keep up to date before you open your mouth.
