Now that Dutchy has retired, does that mean that Spider is on the Vets list with Crawf ? If he is, then that could come in very handy in contract talks in 2006. We could actually increase his pay, but have less come under the salary cap !

Would have liked a player in all the hoo-ha today, but I guess the more picks you have, then the more chance of getting a good one.

No, I' think you need to have been at the club for 10 years before you are eligible.

Actually, I think it's just ten years and age doesn't come into it. Holland and Crawford iirc had been our veterans since they were both around 28/9.

But it's the ten year bit that really matters. Unless the player has that continual record of service at the one club, they can't be placed on the veterans list of that club.
