But unfortunately that's been the style of Liverpool "fans" in recent years, they like taking swipes at just about everybody especially when they can't handle the truth. One game is NOT the end all for either side you know!
What truth can't we handle? The fact we have beaten the Toffees at Goodison 5 years running? The fact we are still the superior side on Merseyside, despite Everton fans constantly going on about Roo-naldo and how Moyes is the best manager in the world.

We have signed the Scottish version of Rooney McFadden.

Hes going to be a star..and were going to get Davis in 3 months time, so im happy.

Wright/Rooney/McFadden/Davis/Hibbert/Jeffers and Yobo seems a good list of youngsters to build around.

Ok Mr Hawk, please find a quote where I bagged Franny. Go on, you seem so sure that I berated him before.

I wasn't happy when he left, for obvious reasons, but never disliked him in the way I did Gary Speed and Nick Barmby. I hoped he would do well at Arsenal, just not against us. He was great before he left us, but didn't get much of a chance to shine at Arsenal.

Get your facts straight mate.

Oh, and I'd so much rather have Moyes than Houllier. He actually knows what he's doing.

Ok since this is a bag a blue thread, as winmar has stated find me somewhere where I bagged Jeffers?

I would never bag a blue blood and I loved Jeffers when we had him and I was dissapointed he wanted to goto Arsenal, but hes back now and he and Rooney upfront sounds very nice.

The Fox in the Box is back baby!

And for you toffs out there im hearing that were selling Super Radz to Spurs and going to use the money as a down payment to Fulham for Sean Davis.

This is a smart move if Franny does well, since he and Radz are quite similar players.

Players you dislike. You've listed Francis Jeffers. :p

No need to apologise.

Hi again

I just wanted to ask the question....who would you prefer to manage Liverpool? Houllier or Moyes?
At this stage - probably Moyes. Houllier's record has been very disappointing given the time and money at his disposal.

However, I would like to see how Moyes reacts when things aren't going so great before saying for certain. Much like Libba at Box Hill - all's great in the honeymoon period, the real test will be this year if things don't go so great for the Toffees.

Everton's transfer efforts over the summer weren't much to write home about. They spent far too long mucking around and seemed to grab what ever they could in the final week.

Hahaha nice work, sleuth. :)

I did dislike him for leaving us, in the same way as I did Barmby. However, I never bagged him at all, and would have been happy to have had him back (which has eventuated now). I don't waste my time bagging players endlessly....I'd much rather think of the positives of those we've got.

Just to break with that though: Nick Barmby can go get ****ed. :)

Hmmm I wouldn't want to see Radz go. I'm a big fan of his, and he scores some great goals. It'd only be a goer if Spurs gave us big money for him.

Evertonians what do you think of the Kilbane signing?

If you think of it this way (considering we sold Pembo to Fulham for 500k)

- We got 7 years younger at Left Mid
- Kilbane has pace and can score goals
- Pembo was running out of contract
- All for just 500 thousand pounds

Kilbane isnt my favourite player but hes definately a good cheap option on the left.

Pembo is cr@p. I'm glad we got rid of him. Kilbane will be a lot better for us on the flanks using his pace. Great to see Jeffers back (I can bring my Jeffers jersey out of the cupboard again!!). Don't know why we signed Martin, Simo is a great keeper and should be our first choice. Wright fumbles too many balls and lays them in the path of opposing strikers, great to have as a back up though. The McFadden signing is sensational, the lad is an absolute gun and will prove to be the signing of the year.

HUZZAH!

Jeffers - Gun. Great to have him home - always loved him! Once a Blue, always a Blue. Now we have to get Michael Ball back.

McFadden - The one that really excites me. He's going to be a genuine superstar, just a matter of time. He's got all the tricks, packed with pace and class. Can't wait for him to explode onto the scene.

Kilbane - Not a huge signing per se, but he's a good player with a good record who can fill a big, big hole in our midfield. Losing McLeod and Pembridge means we have no left sided players, and this lad has 'enough' attributes to do more than a capable job for Moyes. Only 26, is coming into career best form, we should see him give us some solid service for the next few years.

Martyn - Difficult to justify why we bought him on the grounds of 'investment', but I see him performing three roles. One - to provide genuine competition for Richard Wright, which they both sorely need. Two - to fill in for cup matches and when RW gets injured suspended. Three - to help Simonsen and Turner learn from a magnificent modern day keeper. If he plays 15-20+ games, and ends up helping all three of our young keepers, then I'll be rapt.

Moyesiah, you've done it again! And all for 2million pounds - brilliant!

No chance of that happening, he finally is over that knee injury and is going great gun for Rangers. I would say he has been our 3rd best player so far this season behind Mols and Klos. I've always rated the kid and he has a passion for the club which is great and I think he went close to being named Vice-Captain. Craig Moore got the Captains job and Klos got the VC.

This kid is class. He ripped up both Celtic and Rangers last season as he scored both winners against both teams. Considering Motherwell finished dead last, it proves he is a great talent. In the Semi Final of the Scottish Cup last season in the first half he ripped the heart of Rangers defence to give Motherwell a 2-1 lead. Went quiet in the 2nd Half however. He has plenty of talent and is one for the future, however the main problem I see with him is position wise. He can be used in many different ways. Motherwell against the Old Firm used him mainly off the Left Wing, just behind the strikers and is other games used him as an out and out striker.

There was pre season talk of him going to Rangers and if he did I would of used him in a Lovernkands type role in a 4-3-3 set up. You got a very good bargin, but be warned he has a temper and has been sent off a fair few times in the SPL and collects Yellow Cards like no tomorrow.

Is it true McFadden has a bit of a temperament? I must admit ive only seen maybe 2-3 games of him playing and hes a very smooth talented young man, but I havent seen him do anything too bad.

As for Kilbane, the Moyesiah knows him very well from his Preston days and I am confident he can get the best out of him.

Didnt he score against us last year?

He won 2 MOTM awards last season against Rangers and Celtic, when he scored in both Motherwell's wins over each side of the Old Firm. The talent is there, the temper is however also there. He was sent off twice last season and twice earnt suspenant for getting too many yellow cards. Not a wacko or anything, just very passionate and gets stuck in.

How do you guys see teams like Motherwell? Is the SPL on Foxtel or something? I only go on what I read on the net.

I think Pembo did a great job, given his limited ability. Lots of Toffees in the UK are big fans of his. However given his age and hi contracting expiring in a year, it was a good move to sell him and replace him with a younger man in Kilbane.
