Losing McCarthy & Stek cost us this game, more-so because subbing in a keeper means we can't bring on an outfield player.

Macca was bossing the midfield before getting hurt, Barry offers ******* nothing at all and not sure how he got a contract extension for another year.

Need to bring in Depay & Schneiderlin + a creative attacking midfielder in Jan, not expecting a keeper in Jan though but would sure like one.

DCL has talent but isn't premier league ready, how on earth the manager thinks his going to make an impact when he is a twig is beyond me.

Honestly the back four played well all night, just nothing from the midfield/Rom.

**** everything. Bullshit goal to lose a derby, I ******* hate when half chances & deflections are just a fraction off being golden for us but fall to the opposition like a bloody beach ball

I maintain Liverpool are the luckiest side in world football.
Anyhoo, don't think we really deserved much in the end, effort was there but we just werent much chop after half time.

Unfortunately no complaints. You cannot have 33% possession and believe you are entitled to something out of the game. Some massive signings needed in January.

That whole second half was horrid. Constant hoofing the ball forward and it coming straight back to our defence.

That said it was a ******* shithouse goal that won them the game

Haven't you noticed that wherever Koeman goes, he makes teams play long ball and cross the ball? He hates dribbling midfielders, hence why Barkley is being stifled and will leave. Best player we have besides Lukaku and he's forcing him out with his terrible one style tactics instead of playing a balanced style. Hence why he's never done anything except in Netherlands

I've been told Barkley will leave for Spurs.

I just don't know where he'd fit in for us? Would command a very good fee which is unlikely to make him a predominantly bench option.
But who's place does he take, not sure he pushes out any of our starters atm but we do need more attacking options in truth.

Selling Barkley would put us backwards, he's still our most technically gifted player. We need a change in formation desperately, with him sitting behind 2 striking options. At the moment he's trying to be everywhere to get involved but when our lone striker is surrounded by defenders there's not much he can do when looking for an option

i reckon koeman getting southampton into europe, counts as him doing
something outside the netherlands.

as for barclay, all he has done lately, is run around in circles with the ball at his feet
until someone takes it off him or he gives the ball away.
not good enough by a long way.

What an odd line up today.

Good to see Holgate back into the side, don't know what I think about Barkley getting dropped again. Quite hard to expect him to gain form and confidence if he's in and out of the team each week. Or am I just being to soft?

Quite a weak Leicester line up, should be winning this one.

No, it's Koeman being a shit manager and hating players who don't play his long ball and wing play. It never works, play all styles, mix it up. Too predictable and our wings are inconsistent with crossing

Robles #1 now please
Not the long term solution but did well today, was the most commanding I've ever seen him at coming off his line to deal with crosses. Has always been a weakness of his, has clearly been working on it, his timing and positioning was perfect tonight. Kudos to him and the coaching staff.

Love the 3 CB's with 5 at the back. It suits our squad the most, doesn't produce the prettiest football but it's defensive sound. Just need to replace Barry with someone who pushes forward a bit more to make up for lack of extra mid.
