No point controlling possession when we don't ******* do anything with it, yet still get exposed at the back. A better team than them would have crucified us. Told the girlfriend how excited I was for the match & how much the crowd will lift Everton for Roberto's first home game, where the **** were they?? An overdrawn manager appointment, a stupid badge saga, pretty much a failure to make squad improvements while clubs around us load up, our two best players being unsettled by a former club idol that's clearly affecting the whole squad, all while trying to adapt to a new game style. All that pre season energy & hope is just about gone, and that's worrying...

The crowd summed up our performance. So flat.
Said to the missus before the match that I wanted to rush home from a party to catch Bobby's first game as I thought the atmosphere would be unreal and we'd play em off the park. How ******* wrong was I!?

Yep pretty crappy display - both sides could have nicked it really. We were pretty lucky on a few occasions as were they. To be fair to WB they pressured the hell out of us...........

Oh well hopefully can get a win and some confidence going ASAP!

Not worried yet. Barkley is playing the house down, Mirallas will never play that bad for us again and we are only a week from the window shutting. Also I thought Kone looked excellent off the bench, I'd probably start him next week.

I just desperately want a better CM option than Osman, and we need Fellaini to either commit and play properly or leave.

We just need some confidence, and then the goals will come. We'll play better against good sides too, because they won't chuck ten behind the ball for the entire game.

It is the haircut.;)

West Brom came with the mentality "don't concede " and they did just that. So frustrating playing sides like that.

Yeah I love Kev, but that haircut was a debacle. Won't be arsed if he starts skinning blokes and slotting again.

Reminded me a lot of the Swansea game of last season in that respect. Just a game that was shut down from start to finish. Ref didn't help though, constantly stopping play.

Kone has to start next week.
Hopefully Gibson is available and can come in for Osman. Games like last night I reckon someone like Oviedo would have been a good option to come on. Naismith gives us nothing.

Martinez has said he wants to bring in 1 more player so not sure what area is the most of concern.

I'll ignore the fact we need more than 1, but needs to be a Gibson type player. Someone to sit in front of & to protect the back 4. Gibson is quite injury prone and as we can see, we do miss him when he's out

Yeah I tend to agree. People forget Moyes was the highest paid manager in the league at Everton. But people continually said how lucky we were to have him.

I also lost a lot of respect when I read about how he got the Man U job after meeting with Ferguson. He went straight to work for Man U planning for the upcoming season with the, tactics, potential transfers etc. I thought given he was still employed by Everton on 60,000 a week he could probably have given his current employer his time and effort.
A good coach at Everton FC is not enough. Also need to meet the players.
If both Concord, and will become stronger

Was at a party so i missed the game. :(

I swear if something comes up this Saturday and i miss Everton again I think I'll rage.

SkySports reporting we've placed a bid for James McCarthy.

Felli out for 25m would be decent business I think. McCarthy for under 10m would be as well. Hopefully we are still in for Luca Marrone as well. Could be an eventful week to come.

Yup and it looks like Felli will be off for around $25mil to United.
Yep Fellaini gone, Baines to remain.
I do not want to see Fellaini gone, but it is important we spend the 25 mill in the next week. McCarthy is a start, however we also need another couple of additions.

I have had a bad run with many of the Everton kits I own.
-Arteta
-Yakubu
-Bily
-Lescott
-Cahill
-Fellaini

Might be time to invest in an Osman kit.

Well if Fell stays lets hope he shows the form he is capable of!
I know it is only a capital one game tmw but I would really like a win to try and get some momentum going. Deulofeu apparently will get a game so interesting to see how he goes.
