I'm getting sick of this style already, just get it in there. It's playing against the strength of our side atm, we have pace in spades, so why are we moving the ball so slowly?

Nothing wrong with the style. The style is giving us a complete control of the game, and is creating four times as many chances as the opposition. If Jelavic wasn't woeful, Mirallas was in any sort of form or if we got any hint of luck, we'd be three wins from three.

Shots or chances? I think despite having majority of the possession they could have easily won this game with arguably the two best chances of the game with Belamy's one on one with Howard and Kim's run into the box. I think partially why our strikers are out of form is inconsistent placement of the ball, we need to up the intensity in the final third and try to force some action rather than holding until something finally opens up, as we don't have the penetration or skill execution to find the gaps we're playing for.

If we play 2 up top we would be in a much better state to play that style. Only managed to see about the last 20 minutes, one attack forward I was able to count 9 Cardiff players in between our attack & the keeper, right then I knew it was the same story as our last 2 games. While I agree with the concept of the style, the execution is a long way off still. I thought after our pre season it was coming along quickly, but its not. Chelsea next game will give us a good indication of where we stand

And after seeing a replay of the penalty appeal, I think it's fair to say I would have completely lost my shit had I seen that live. Clear as day penalty kick.

Very disappointing but we just need some luck to get some momentum going
I'm enjoying Barkley taking the game on and from the limited time we saw Deulofeu will do the same thing.
Just need to bury some chances - Mirallas should have gone first time on his left FFS and those headers were dreadful
But hopefully the next few days will be good for us on the transfer front......

FFS another f*cking draw! Arguably we've had the easiest start to the season and yet we can't even manage 3 points. Why are we so slow? Why do we allow the opposition to have 9 or 10 players behind the ball?

We'll spend. McCarthy and Barry seem locked in, and then the rest SHOULD go straight to the best striker we can afford. That'd be a good window for me.
Word is we might spend 11mil Euro on another CB.. I will spew up if we do that. It is obvious we are missing a gun striker. Needs one ASAP.

Martins Indi is a fine young player, but you're right, I could not be at all arsed for another defender. Going to be a fun day/night tomorrow!

Like everyone else I totally agree we need a new striker but I think we need to sell a striker first, we only ever play one striker so going into a striker with four strikers is just to much. After last nights game I don't think Jelavic will be getting much game time especially if we were to sign another striker he's realistically not going to get any game time at all. He'd be on a decent wage it would be a waste of money to have a player on his wages to sit on the bench. I know it will be hard to do in the short period of time we've got left but if we could bring in a class striker we really need to try and move Jelavic on.

Only problem is I'm struggling to think of a realistic class striker who's out on the market for under or around 10m.

Jelavic could not hit a barn door. We have had 2 clean sheets in a row, we have Heitinga and Duffy as backups. Lets get a striker in as a priority!

We've got Alcarez and Stones too so I agree with the rest of you we really don't need a centre half or a defender for all at for that matter. We really need a striker and central midfielder.

Moses at the Liverpool game, will be joining Liverpool on loan for the season, this window just continues to be more disappointing really. Would have loved us to sign him, very good player.

Gareth Barry is imminent by the sounds of things.
A proven, reliable and experienced player who fills a need and will cost very little. Would make a good signings, this is Everton though so he's not an Everton player until you see him holding our shirt, I am hoping we do sign him!

Luca Marrone confirmed to be leaving, hope we snare him
I agree mate, out of all the midfielders we've been linked with I reckon he would suit us best. I'm not going to act like I know so much about him because I've never even seen him play but going off what I've read, he's really good at dropping back into the holes, protects the defenders really well and is a sublime passer. Could you get a central midfielder more suited to Martinez's tactics?

Although I was reading Salusso are close to signing him, hopefully that's not true, I'd absolutely love to sign him.

It is even more depressing seeing Liverpool. They have played some pretty average stuff in the 1st 3 games and managed to come away with 3x1 zip wins. Reminding me a lot of when we last qualified for Champions League.
