Must we play Newcastle at 5am on a Tuesday?
I actually prefer the early morning starts (unless if I have a uni exam on the same day).

Although my favourite starts are the early Saturday night ones (9.45pm AEST).

Agree that the refs were horrid but really, 2-1 up with minutes remaining... surely we could defend better than that?
Osman's lazy first touch gave away the first goal too.

We defended poorly against West Brom for 2 soft goals and again tonight.
Time to put Heitinga back into the side. You know John Heitinga, the defender who was voted as our player of the season last year and cannot get a sniff this year.

Leon Osman....... No comment.

Even Heitinga has played the occasional game in midfield and I would be happy for him to be given some minutes there.
The other option is to put Fellaini there and maybe give Anichebe some gametime with Jelavic up front. Moyes is fairly cautious though and he feels comfortable with Neville in that CM role and Osman in midfield.

The squad is still a little thin and good to see us looking at a couple of freebies to add.

Spot on, we should have had the 4 goals but that last goal was disgraceful.

Agree about Heitinga, Distin wasn't too solid today. Heitinga in for Distin or Neville in my opinion.

Osman didn't have his best day but has been ok, willing to give him another chance or he'll need to be replaces by Naismith and Mirallas is good to watch but needs to realise that other blokes are capable of scoring, especially if he passes it to them.

Howard
Hibbert - Jags - Jonny - Baines
Fellaini - Osman
Mirallas - Naismith - Pienaar
Jelavic

That would do fine against Swansea. The Fellaini up top has been fun, but he's one of the best BTB mids in the league, so given we have a 'CM crisis', maybe we could use him there?

must. contain. anger

so annoyed we a) let a goal in so late in the game and b) we were robbed of not one, but two goals

still, 2 wins and a draw from the first 4 games goes alright - should be 3 wins and sitting pretty in third (?) though

Yeah Vic has always been solid - he may not get a lot of goals, but by god he gives defenders major headaches

He seems to have got some confidence and hopefully that carries through and the competition for #1 striker spot with Jelavic heats up nicely :thumbsu:
