2-0 win for the last ever game at Goodison Park. Looking forward to visiting the new stadium in a few months, but feels surreal that Goodison has been the only ground that generations of Evertonians have ever known as home.

It was the first of so many things in the game. First purpose built football stadium, first to have features such as dugouts, floodlights, under soil heating, 2-tier & then 3-tier stands etc. The legendary Eusébio said it was the best stadium he ever played in.

It’s seen more top flight games that any other stadium in England. 132 years of “The Grand Old Lady”.

Played great in the first half and then the game fizzled out a bit.

Need to improve the squad going into next season.

We could have done a Liverpool and demolish houses/block off a road to build a bigger stadium..

Not sure if we've improved the squad enough. Definitely some upgrades but overall sense we're in for another painstaking year with relegation threat over our heads for the majority of it.

Dreadful opening performance.

I didn’t watch the game due to 3am being the worst KO time available, but only seen the penalty call. By all accounts it was a bad performance, but we also had no full backs and a CM playing LB.

Frustration continues with our recruitment strategy and permanently seem to leave things way too late, when we should have had key players training with the squad for at least 3 weeks by the time the season starts.

It was a bad performance. Passing was absolutely shite. As bad as Mykolenko is, Garner was worse because he's right footed and never wanted to go in and behind on the left.

Haven’t looked myself, but any news as to why Aznou wasn’t even in the squad? Basically thought that’s why he was brought in, but thinking he must be injured

Think he got injured, but also he struggled in one of the preseason games apparently defensively and they obviously thought up against James that Garner would be better.

Nice comfortable 2-0, no Everton funny business. Used to have good cup runs under Moyes, hopefully we can go deeper in cups than the previous decade.

I watched a small patch between 1-0 and 2-0, wasn't entirely comfortable and a little laborious at times but a win is a win. Classic Everton win really.

Had to defend like mad when it went 2-3 and might have got a tad lucky with a wide shot. But I’ll take another 3 points thanks.

It’s a shame since we controlled about 80% of the game, but both goals (especially the 2nd at least) were so avoidable…not enough talking between defenders.

But both of their goals with wide crosses along the ground, you hardly ever see multiple of throughout a season & can be fixed. They did SFA apart from those
