Waking up, I cant do it. Getting out of bed, cant do it.

I have 2 alarms, one is to wake me up so I can hit snooze twice, the second alarm (half an hour later) is meant to be my panic alarm and once i hear it, I know I'm late and must rush. I get to this alarm every morning and snooze it at least once, then lie in bed staring at the roof for another snooze cycle then get up, knowing I'm already half our late to work

Cant shave when I should, I'm always a day late on my shave cycle

Always walk out of a door too fast, so the door isnt completely open so my shoulder will belt into the side of it.

I went my whole school life only doing 1 shit in the toilet and that was a pure case of extreme diarroheah. The first time American Pie came out Finch was my hero. :thumbsu:

I'd love to be Costanza but my knowledge is not great enough. I attempted to spread the word about Australia's best toilets however the thread was a bit of a failure, and even if it had been successful, becoming so would defeat its own purpose.

I guess I'm a very specific Costanza. Dont really know much about toilets in the city, but at both uni's I went to (Melb and UNSW I know where to go). It's pretty elementary though. Most people will just go to whatever is close and convenient. I go to places out of the way.

Like the 8th floor of the Doug McDonnell building. Now that there's no computer lab on that floor it's a ghost town. Get some really solid reading time in up there.

Everyone is like this deep down inside IMO. The only ones that arnt are too lazy to go to the trouble I say

the actual act of drinking liquid.

i miss my mouth loads. even when not drinking alcohol. and it's not actually accentuated by drinking alcohol.

sucks when i do it and barman thinks i'm smashed after a couple of pints.

it has improved lots over the last couple of years.

Exactly the same. I drink a truckload of water and without fail, half of it ends up dribbling down my chin, making me look like a big baby.

I would go out of my way to be able to shit in comfortable surroundings, however I never knew any good places to go, although not knowing where to go also stems from not taking enough initiative to explore the toilet facilities of a campus...

I had the Glad Wrap thing pretty well sorted, now they've gone and added a "bonus" "free" cutter thing to the side of it and now I'm all over the place with it.

Handwriting.

Reading quickly (not that I struggle reading, I'm a very good reader, but if I read too quickly I just zone out, and before I know it I've read 2 pages and have no idea what I just read; the only way I can make sure I'm actually paying attention is if. I. Read. Each. Word. Individually. And. Slowly.)

+1, or sometimes I'm determined to read quickly so I get a bit of a rhythm going but after a couple lines I have to stop and go back because my eyes were in a rhythm but my brain didn't seem to process at the same speed. But it's annoying because I know that I don't have to read everything word for word to really understand it but I just can't manage to do it

Agree with going to bed and getting up. I believe it's associated with the psychology of the mind.

Agreed. I'm also terrible at waking up, I ALWAYS hit snooze until the absolute last minute when I'd really like to get up early and get to work early etc I feel like I'm mentally weak for not being able to do so

anyone got any tips on waking up on time every day?

Set the alarm on my phone, and leave it across the room so I have to get up and turn it off.

And set it to the time that I HAVE to get up, rather than when I want to get up. You get used to it after a few days.

I set it 15 minutes early and lie in bed until it's time to get out. Works for me

How people can take a shit in Architecture at Melbourne is beyond me. Don't think I've ever seen it not packed. Have to hold my breath when taking a pee so as not to gag.

There is a quiet disabled toilet in an adjacent building that I visit if I'm in need of a shit. :thumbsu:

My knowledge of the toilets at Melb. Uni is unparalleled. Been there 8 years and know all the best toilets. You are spot on about architecture as they are revolting. I won't reveal the best as that is the one I use and I don't wont others using it. :D

The last time I took a shit at uni it was in the Architecture building, the toilet blocked and my dookie just sat there - major disgusting for next person going in there.

I went past for a piss and it was out of order.

THIS.

Also, open your curtains / blinds ASAP and have a drink of water (keep one on bedside table)

Oh come on man! Help a rookie out. I gave my Doug McDonnell tip, but that's only the result of one year of learning.

I'm sure there's a palatial restroom with a gold seated toilet and a fountain for hand washing out there that someone of your expertise and wisdom would surely know of.

Unfortunately us plebs don't have access to University House. :thumbsd:

I went to a staff-only toilet at the Elisabeth Murdoch today. When I got out, a teacher was waiting, very awkward.

Getting out of bed is a massive struggle for me. I always set my alarm very early so I can wake up and then go back to sleep, to save me doing it for when I REALLY have to get up!

Poor tactic, i find that hitting the snooz button and dozing actually makes me more tired thus making it more difficult to get up. Set your alarm later and get up straight away, i think you'll find its much easier.
