That Chris Judd will return back to Victoria once his contract with the Eagles has expired, having said that, (and it's not the fault of the Eagles club) if he wants to return home what sort of compensation would you be after. If Carlton draft Wells and has the season which everyone thinks he will, would u consider a straight swap for him. (Personally I think Wells will end up as a better player than Judd going by what i've heard and seen of the lad) but then Wells might want to go home as well so it could be a win win situation.
I would be very surprised if Judd did stay in Perth after a couple of years, but good luck to you if he does stay.

It is of course quite possible that Judd will return to Victoria at the end of his contract, but with respect what "Everyone in Melbourne is saying" is competely ****ing irrelevant.

Even Judd does not yet know what he's going to do. He's got a season of football to concentrate between now and then.

and the rumours are just going to grow more and more when we get into next year.

if the worst was to happen and he did want to go home from our perspctive a positive would be that there would be 10 clubs trying to secure his service.

what would we want? well the best we could get for him.

We might get Jonathon Hay for him.
We might get Steven Armstrong and Woewodin for him.
We might get Joel Corey and a draft pick for him.
We might get Mark Coughlan and a draft pick for him.
We might not even lose him.

It's too hard to say yet whether he will go back. He still has another year to settle in.

Still to early to tell his price too. A swap for Wells may advantage both clubs.

Doubt Woewodin would ever return to Perth, but I think Armstrong could be a chance. On an interview with ABC, he said that he was devestated when he wasn't picked up by the Eagles, but if the chance came about, he'd love to return to Perth and play with us.

smart lad :)

Yes, the public here in Melbourne have all been saying he will come back to Vic as soon as he can. They've been saying that ever since he got drafted. But all interviews with him suggest he won't. There has never been any quotes from him, his manager or his family members saying he wants to come home. I've only ever heard him praise the eagles and WA.

One of the coaches also said he is mature and professional beyond his years and does not show any signs of arrogance or complacency.

Conclusion: Everything suggests he's staying, not going. Why is it considered a given that a good interstate player always wants to return home?

Judd said himself he LOVES WA, its exactly his lifestyle, good beaches, great chicks, fairly laid back...i think we have a fair chance of retaining him.
Its not like headland, headland was in a Non footy state, Judd loves living with fellow victorian Humm, so as long as we don't trade humm i reckon we are right:D

I too have only heard positive things about Judd staying here. If he does, good luck to him, but what I think we see here from those Victorians is that they are simply p**sed off for the fact that such a player is playing for a WA team most despise.

Jealousy is a simple curse.

If Judd does want to go back home there will be 10 Victorian clubs competeing, and assuming he doesn't just abandon the Eagles and enter the draft he could attract anything as a trade.

None of this matters. He's found his home (we hope)

Then you're either an idiot or a liar.

And also obviously not on the staff of any AFL club because they were the players that all the other clubs were chasing.

Im an idiot not a liar. Why would we want Gardiner? We have 2 Ruckman and Holland.

You called me an idiot too on that Pavlich/Cousins argument we had and neutral supporters agreed with me :) ;)
