Pretty much everyone I've seen on tv and heard on radio is backing Freo this week. Liam Pickering from AFL Teams is the only one ive seen back us. The paper tomorrow will probably be the same. Whats everyone's thoughts on this?

Cousins and Judd were massive parts of our team

Cox and Kerr are still A grade but so much more pressure goes onto them and the players that previously played spport roles in the midfield.

Until we can prove we can win more 1 game a month we are going to go in underdogs against any half decent team.

after last week we've got a long ____en way to go.
Yeah. Add to that the fact the Eagles haven't lifted in any way for the last few derbies and it's hard to see them winning this one.

Longer term I don't see the Eagles doing much till mid-season really.

Easing out some of the older guys who are getting shown up and easing in the new guys.

Who gives a flying f**k what they say! Win, lose or draw...as long as I see development in young players...I'm happy :)

I just hope that Josh Kennedy doesn't become the next Travis Gaspar, all that potential turning to dust. Something about us not producing good tall forwards is somewhat of a tradtion.

Josh Kennedy was taken at pick 4 in arguably a stronger draft than the Judd draft. I mean Pendlebury was taken after him. He will come good. The Bombers practise match showed what he means to our line up and that was his 3rd game in WCE colours. When the team learns to accommodate these new younger players we will be right. I predict a big final 11 rounds from us.

... it's like they thrown tipping WC away this round... like a half eaten pie and a coke bottle at Josh Carr...

Whilst I'm not suggesting any correlation, Polak was taken at pick 4 in the Judd draft.:(

I still have high hopes for the Fridge however.

It would be a big FU to all if we were to make the top 4 and either win the darn thing or go out there and give everything!
I'm afraid looking at the draw, it's a 8 to 9 win season at best. Tough draw with two games against top teams and only one against bottom teams like Carlton, Melbourne and Richmond.

We certainly win see the new eagles this week and they aren't pretty at the moment

McDougall was a #5 pick.

On the game I am less confident than I was a week ago. Beware the wounded Eagle. I hope our boys don't think you'll play like that again this week.

Leigh Brown at #5? Clive Waterhouse at #1?

Plenty of big men that go early in the draft turn out average or worse.

Considering that no-one has even shown they've thought about stepping up in Judd and Cousins absence, I don't think you need to worry about a Top 4 spot.

Still early days yet 1 win /1 loss we`ve got to win every home game and whatever we can on the road .Maybe aim for top 8 first and then re-adjust after Rnd 12.:)
