Wow this thread makes me feel even older!

Nice to see some familiar faces still here. So sad to see that Toots passed away. I was lucky enough to meet him in person a few times in my younger days.
Yes, haven't seen you around for awhile! Timed your hiatus and return well it appears. :)

good to see you back ... good times ahead for Port.

Occupation: Software Engineer (Full Time). Uni Student (Part Time- studing for another Degree).

Other teams: PAMFC, 36ers, Liverpool and anything OZ.

Footy club history: Not too much to write home about... My Brother played a couple of years in the Under 19s before having a few shoulder injuries and moving on. Went to school with and stuffed around in a few classes with Stephen Carter.

Favourite premiership: Hopefully Port this year 2003... but the 1989 VFL GF Hawthorn v Geelong was the best final I have ever seen.

Time for an update.

Footy club history: nothing that I know of, my Dad went to school with Wanganeen and the Bond brothers so that's as close as it gets. I went to a Port Adelaide vs Collingwood game when I was 4 and the club has been my life ever since then.
Favourite premiership: 2004, but I love watching the late 80's/early 90's Maggies premierships on YouTube

Name: Noobz0r (Luke)

Age: 22

Location: Perth Hills

Occupation: I'm doing Secondary Education (English) at uni, whilst working part time at a liquor store

AFL Team: Port Adelaide

WAFL Team: Swan Districts

Membership/Season Tickets: interstate

Other Teams: Manchester United, Patriots, Boston Celtics, Team Jason Day.

Footy/Club History in the family: Absolutely none. My family are still mystified as to my allegiance to Port. I never really had a team in my formative years, but remember loving Port's swagger and gamestyle in the early 2000's... only to be incredibly pissed off when they choked. It was a pretty slow process culminating in that '04 prelim, there I knew I was a port fanatic through and through.

Favourite Premiership and why: 2004 because it was my first

Nice to see some familiar faces still here. So sad to see that Toots passed away. I was lucky enough to meet him in person a few times in my younger days.

I joined BF 11 years ago when I was 21 and made some awesome friends after meeting at meet ups, and are still friends after 10 years! I also met a few weird people, which caused me to take a long hiatus. Finishing uni also meant less time for BF.

So I am now almost 32, married with 1 child and another one which I will deliver in about 8 weeks.

I was working part time in Health prior to starting maternity leave.

2004 would have to be my favourite GF, as I was lucky to be three rows from the front with BD.

I watched my first live game today in over a year and a half, as we were living in the English countryside in 2011/2012.

Welcome back gbear, happy birthday for the other day as well.

Must update my profile one of these days too.

This seems as good a place as any to make my first post. :)

Name: Ray Nolan

Age: 22

Location: Seaford

Occupation: Student (5th Year: Law/Legal Practice & International Studies @ Flinders University)

AFL Team: Port Adelaide F.C.

SANFL Team: Port Adelaide Magpies F.C.

Membership/Season Tickets: Full Member and Season Ticket Holder with Port Adelaide, Full Member at Port Adelaide Magpies

Other teams: Socceroos, the legendary Birmingham City F.C., Southern Redbacks, Adelaide 36ers, Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, Wallabies, Sri Lanka Cricket Team, Montreal Canadiens & Mark Webber & Jaguar Racing.

Footy club/history in the family: None really, given my English background I played Soccer (my fave sport) & Rugby for winter sports. No Football playing tradition on either side of my family really.

Favourite premiership: 1995 against Centrals because that was the only one I've been fortunate enough to attend. What a great night it was at Alberton!

Wow, I've been here nearly 10 years to the day now! Probably should update it:

Name: Ray Nolan

Age: 32 (Married for nearly 5 years, have a 2 year old son who is also a Port boy!)

Location: Magill

Occupation: Bankruptcy/Insolvency Manager, Non-Practicing Solicitor

AFL Team: Port Adelaide F.C.

SANFL Team: Port Adelaide F.C.

Membership/Season Tickets: Member Port Adelaide F.C. AFL & SANFL

Other teams: Adelaide United F.C., Socceroos, Birmingham City F.C., Southern Redbacks, Adelaide 36ers, Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, Wallabies, England Cricket Team, Northern Ireland Football Team, Montreal Canadiens, Will Power/Team Penske, Mark Webber.

Footy club/history in the family: None really, given my English background I played Soccer (my fave sport) & Rugby for winter sports. No Football playing tradition on either side of my family really. In terms of history with Port, when my Mum emigrated to Australia she chose to support Port Adelaide, so when I was 3 years old she made sure I did too. My Dad's mother and her family all lived in the Port Adelaide area since they came to Australia so she was also a Port supporter and with my Mum made sure I became a died in the wool black & white boy.

Favourite premiership: 2004 - Champions of Australia!

Name: Michael

Age: 43

Location: ACT (been in the ACT since 1994, moved over from Adelaide to play AFL for 1 season and have been here ever since!!!!)

Occupation: Territory Manager - Brown Forman (Jack Daniels)

AFL Team: Port Adelaide

SANFL Team: Port Adelaide Magpies

Membership/Season Tickets: None

Other Teams: Manchester United, Adelaide United

Footy/Club History in the family: I played for Port juniors (U13 - U19's) during 83-89, then played half a dozen reserves games under Gary Tredrea in 1990. We had a falling out and I left the club (something that still bugs me today). Long story but I couldn't stand the guy after that. He rang me during the next off season to come back but I declined the offer.

Favourite Premiership and why: First one I went to was in 1979 against South Adelaide, remember it raining but loving the fact that I was in the cheer squad with my flag as a 9 year old.

They are all magic but the one where we kept NA to 1 goal and the going jokes at the club were that Nunan told his players before the game "Right guys, we have one goal in mind today" and then also the Port players that played wanted to hire a detective to find out who was standing the NA player who kicked that 1 goal as nobody wanted to own up to it.....Piss funny at the time!
