Footy/Club History in the family: Dad Played Juniors for Port and played reserves (2 matches) at a young age, but then his father passed away and he went a stray, My great Great Grandfather or something of the sort captained Port against an All American side (warfies) in the early 1900's, I played 15's and 17 for Port Magpies.

Favourite Premiership and why: 2004, I have never been so pissed in my life... I was only 14 maybe 15 at the time, would explain a bit! 2007 I was a mess and can't remember the drive home from the Archer (if there was a drive home?) But i have grown up in a Co(r)ws dominated area and all my mate are fans of the other side so 2004 with them was sweet!

Footy/Club History in the family: I played for Port juniors (U13 - U19's) during 83-89, then played half a dozen reserves games under Gary Tredrea in 1990. We had a falling out and I left the club (something that still bugs me today). Long story but I couldn't stand the guy after that. He rang me during the next off season to come back but I declined the offer.

Favourite Premiership and why: They are all magic but the one where we kept NA to 1 goal and the going jokes at the club were that Nunan told his players before the game "Right guys, we have one goal in mind today" and then also the Port players that played wanted to hire a detective to find out who was standing the NA player who kicked that 1 goal as nobody wanted to own up to it.....Piss funny at the time!

Fortunately or unfortunately I will be in Adelaide for my sisters wedding so I will miss the match but I'm sure given the families support for Port that scores will be coming throughout the afternoon.

Just off the subject a bit I was wondering if there are any old Port Magpies Cheers Squad members on here from say 1985-1990. As a teenager I remember playing U17's and racing off after the game so I could go and watch the first grade play and catch up with the Cheer Squad...I have a few names of those that I am interested in catching up with but I may save those for any PM's I receive but the guys who were the main figure heads are who I am refering to I still see one of them on the TV at Power matches from time to time

Favourite Premiership and why: Well the obvious answer is 04, and i really did love that GF, it proved a point that we were/are a serious club, something to be taken seriously, after many years of being 'Chokers' we silenced most of our critics. But i fondly remember the 99' GF against Norwood, My dad took me to the game and as a young kid, the atmosphere of almost 40,000 people was incredible. To see that game was amazing, it was so close, and the Norwood supporters around me were such intolerable Louts, so the win was that much sweeter.

It's great to see some people who go for teams other than the magpies support Port in the AFL.

Curious as to why the difference between afl and sanfl teams, as I though most afl port fans go for port in the sanfl, and whoever went for a team other than port in the sanfl goes for the crows.

I played for Glenelg School when I was younger, and went to the School so was always close to the club, also only lived a few streets away. As a kid went to every bays game and sat on the hill with a group of mates, so I followed them from that.
