Last night was God awful. I went and took the Mrs coz i thought we could be watchable again.

Hell I thought we could win

What I saw last night was at least another 2-3 years of tripe... and no gaurentee it won't stop at that.

I'm moving to another thread to vent all my negativity now

We’re 1-3.

The 1 against a side that has imploded.

The 3:
R1 - ok showing
R3 - ok for parts
R4 - went to water completely for 2 quarters

It’s not a single week.

If anything it is a trend.

Here hoping Carlton are still trash by Good Friday because we may stand a chance.

IMO we’ve in all likelihood already lost gathered round in the players heads and as a consequence stand absolutely no chance.

It would require resolve we have not seen.

There is more anger in the stands than there is in the jumpers currently.

I don’t want to hear that it hurts I want them to be furious that their incredibly short careers are playing out like this. Show some venom ffs.

Teams have ups and downs. We havent figured it out yet. we are still a work in progress. Most of us even after melbourne win expected a what? 6 to 8 win season? We played last years grand finalist and got shown what actual work is required...need a bigger sample size before we throw the team away. Are first 3 weeks were impressive and expectations went up... hell sydney get thrashed im grand finals doesnt make them a bad side. That’s nice and all but I literally do not believe you.

I have years of evidence proving the contrary that we are consistently shit and are intending on doing so, we’re not a serious footy club. Hawks turned it around faster than we have done in 6 years.

Well I’m hoping it’s an aberration this time. We have arch and potentially wardlaw coming back, maybe fish for Caleb would be a good change and unfortunately Whitlock out and Hardeman starting on. I hope that some good changes happen this week.

Ffs just stop. Yeah we got smashed but hopefully we ARE on the right track. It was disheartening but legit Sydney played in a GF last year for a reason. I don’t give a **** if they were missing a few players. They are still a good team. I too made the mistake of thinking they’d be beatable but they came off a bye we had a 6 day turn around after travelling as well and again they are actually a good team. So I just wish everyone on here would just get some perspective. I’m grateful to Supa_Nova for creating this thread.

I understand your argument but the two years previous Hawthorn had shown signs of improvement. It’s 5 years on and we haven’t shown much at all. :stern look

The next couple of months are huge for our club. Some would argue we have a couple of winnable games against Carlton and Essendon. Then in Round 10 we have Richmond. Satan help us if we are 1 and 8 and lose to Richmond in Round 10. :stern look

If you said to me at pre season we would be 1 and 4 with only 1 10 goal thrashing I'd take it. And wouldve thought the thrashing would be Adelaide.

I took more out of seeing Simpkin pull the group up after the final siren.

Maybe he is serious. Maybe there is a heartbeat after looking clinically dead for 4 quarters.

Hopefully he first acknowledged that as captain he is putrid and second that performance was unacceptable.

As for Hawthorn comparisons, I wish it was justified.

Brisbane were completely written off at the start of the season, there was talk of fallout from the end of season trip and they were struggling, but Brisbane are also a solid team that’s been contending for years.

North have been putrid and enough is enough.

We have the cattle but the defensive work rate just isn’t there. Spose that’s kind of good because we have talent which can’t be trained, but defensive work can be.
