With the amazing empty feeling that everyone has been living through over the past few days I thought I would start a thread for everyone to think about what opportunities everyone has been given and would not have had if the result had not been a draw...

Firstly the players

Players like Swan, Pendles, Didak, Cloke, Davis now will have a gutfull more hunger to stamp their dominance on a Grand Final. Hunger and desire to win a flag will be burning in their guts. This hunger to win will stay with them for years... the dominance era has begun.

Me

Instead of celebrating and following the Magpie army over the weekend I just filled time until my flight home on Monday night. On Monday afternoon I went down to the Westpac centre to find when I arrived the trophy cabinet open and ALL of the premiership cups being handed amongst supporters. Not really believing what was going on (and for some reason thought they were a new merchandise item of replica cups) I looked down at my feet to find a premiership cup... picked it up, read the engraving and realized I had the holy grail in my hands... the 1958 Premiership cup! I then worked my way through every cup, touching every premiership cup and laying a kiss on the 1990 holy grail... A lifelong memory that I would not have if the win had occurred on last Saturday instead of next Saturday.

We will now all be looking forward to our "Twin DVD" 2010 Collingwood Premiers package... Watching the replay will now be an all day event!
