PORT Adelaide captain Dom Cassisi insists an upcoming court case in which forward Daniel Motlop stands accused of assaulting teammate Jacob Surjan's girlfriend has had no effect on the team this pre-season.

Motlop, 28, will stand trial in April accused of assaulting Surjan's girlfriend at a Glenelg hotel last year after attempts by the club to resolve the matter through mediation were unsuccessful.

Coach Matthew Primus and football manager Peter Rohde have addressed all the players on the issue and Cassisi said there had been no obvious signs of a rift between Motlop and Surjan around the club..

That's right Tealsters, even though Motlop tried to be traded out to get away from Surjan, everything is A'OK.
