On the topic of ex Cats players, in my time watching footy, the Cats supporter base has definitely been the best when it comes to not booing ex players.

The last ex Cat that I can recall being booed by the Cats faithful after leaving the club is Leigh Colbert.

Darcy Lang picked for the Blues this Sunday. First time in 2 seasons there apparently.

He played a few there last year. Maybe 10?
I had actually forgot he was still on there list.

That is true, I have a reliable source too lol not going to say whom but someone close to him..
Also, he got a leg injury in pre season from memory and that is why he hasn’t been selected till now! 👍🏼

Well there you go. I thought he'd been delisted. I suspect he will be after this year. Maybe he will join Smedts at Leopold.
Smedts left Leopold after last season - returned to Warrnambool

After you ban from trolling of late - look very carefuly at what you post here.

GO Catters

9 touches and 2 goals, to be exact. Kicked a very handy snap off his left once the heat had well and truly evaporated from the contest.

But it's hard to see how he'd be picked in front of Dahl, Rohan, Gaz and Miers on our forward line now if he'd stayed at the Cattery.

Doesn't happen too often, admittedly. But sometimes a player move just ends up being a win for both clubs.
Agree. However, Linc just might squeeze into your forward line now based on his current form. Also, his midfield pinch hitting work is outstanding.

Ps not that you are too worried being two games clear 😀.

When fit Linc always had a spot in our side - problem was he struggled to stay fit.

Maybe the recent seasons were just a ploy to get traded to a warmer location as he had enough of cold, Geelong winters

One of the disappointments when he moved on. Can play. We just couldn't get him right. Hasn't missed a game since he moved north.

I still think he could be a handy footballer, but that might just be emotional sunk costs colouring my opinions.

What a weird player. He looked like he had some talent early on at Geelong but it just never happened and looks like it never will.

Mitch Brown playing some good footy. Couldn't have been a very handy playing if not for injuries. Still covers around 14km a game as well I think
Hes the same as he ever was for us really, one good game followed by 4 or 5 with absolutely zero impact, would be a star if he could ever do it consistently.

Not his fault he is an outside HFF expected to play as a KPF. Bomb it on the guys head against a KPD and he'll get destroyed, just not his go.

Glad he is starting to put it all together. His gut running efforts were superb against the Crows, especially that time where he kicked the ball back into the corridor and kept running and then got hit up by Tippa.

His main role is to just drag a tall defender with him up the ground so the main targets are one out.

He is well suited to quick ball movement on a large ground.

I can't really think of an ex-Cats player that I'm not happy to see doing well.

McCarthy looks to be going great guns. If the Cats can't win the flag, I wouldn't mind him with a medal around his neck.

Yeah I agree I often call out supporters from other clubs being bitter about ex players finding success at another club....it’s their career and not that clubs.

Epsically injury prone players who have done everything in their power to play for the club, why would you wish ill will for their future?
