Good luck to all those having/doing exams in the coming weeks.

What exams and where are you guys studying?

I'm doing Econs, Law, Accounting and Communications in Business do you need much to pass your units?

So yer just thought I'd start a thread to wish all doing and good luck:thumbsu:

Had a sports management subject exam tonight. Love it when you go in knowing you've already passed the subject and anything you get on the exam is a bonus. Piece of piss, got to choose five questions out of a list of ten in a medium-ish response format. Although my hand always feels like death after writing for two hours. Early evening exams are the best, have another one on Thursday and that's it for the semester... ie. head straight to uni pub. Only need 8/40 on that one to pass.

I've got two this week and two next - Accounting and Anatomy on Thus/Fri; Sport Organisation and Sport Law next Thurs/Fri.

Need 8/50 to pass Anatomy, 15/50 to pass Org, 23/60 to pass Sport Law.... and you have to pass the exam to pass Accounting (FFFFFFFFFUU-), but I'd only need 13/50.

$10 says I fail Accounting.

For a while there I thought accounting and anatomy was one subject, was racking my brain as to what would be involved.

Get back to work!

Says the guy who finished studying last year....

Got 5 in the coming three weeks.

Doing Business Information Systems. Motivation has never been lower seeing as I start work placement 5 days after my last exam (its guaranteed regardless of results).

The IT faculty can get stuffed though with their 40% exam hurdles all round.

How is Business Information Systems, Difficult? Its so shit how they make us do all core units in year one:mad:

Most units are fairly straightforward. If you do the work (and by work I mean tutes/labs and at least read lecture slides as IT lecturers are generally tripe) then it's fairly easy to have a 60-75 WAM.

My cores are spread out a bit more than just first year.

Heh - I don't doubt it.

Are these high school exams or university exams?

Also, if you dislike the classes, why are you studying them? Setting yourself up for a job you hate?

Ah uni exams. I did so I could do law, Im actually enjoying that

Interesting the amount of people panicking about exams. If I where to play devil's advocate I'd try a different tact. I'd say stay on Big Footy if it relaxes you. (While doing some study). Learning and retention of new information is complex and challenging and requires a great deal to go right. Furthermore the information has to be either relevant and mainly of interest to you in some way. The brain pathways have to be activated, alert and receptive.

People can only study/attempt to acquire new skills for so long before the whole process becomes self defeating. Sitting and panicking about an exam will mean all the study in the world won't be worth a pinch of goat's sh*&. Ever notice the person who does bugger all study but gets top marks. No real mystery I don't think. The information somehow appealed to them, they assimilated it more easily into their existing knowledge and thus remembered it. If after countless hours of study nothing gets through it is unlikely to anyway.
